A few highlights from the weekend!

Thursday

  • Sip & Purr getting back to me that they’d like me to teach a rock painting class. It was Rachel’s idea! I’m so excited!

Friday

  • Having the day off, to completely waste it as I saw fit – which I did. Ha.
  • Having a good run.
  • My favorite acrylic paint pen brand (Tooli-Art) saying yes to donating some pens for the paint class.
  • Learning a lot about making Reels while taking way too long to make one. Ha. I have to remind myself I am still new at this. (And really enjoy it!)
  • Tidying up the house. Felt like I had to mention I did something productive (that made me feel good).
  • A mani/pedi with Lorena. It was so nice to catch up, and she is so sweet and had a birthday card for me! And I love the neon green color I got.
  • Watching the Women’s Olympic Marathon with Bobbi. I cannot even explain the amount of joy and pride I felt seeing Molly Seidel win bronze for the USA. I was tearing up about it all weekend. I am glad I got to experience that with Bobbi!
  • Finishing a book.

Saturday

  • Being supremely lazy. As in, I was up from 5-8 then slept from 8-10, then we grilled and lazed around all day. It was amazing.
  • Grilling and making a Reel with Steven.
  • Booking a kayaking trip for September. For my birthday, Steven gifted me a trip to the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. I’m so excited to go!
  • Tacos from El Famous. I am really digging tacos again!
  • Painting rocks and watching a new movie – Nobody. The movie was so so but it’s nice to watch something new.

Sunday

  • Getting a run in despite the high dew point and heat. Ha, when I saw how bad it was out I thought it would suck, but it was fine! (I stopped a lot to make Reel footage. Ha, I know, shut up about Reels, Kim.)
  • Breakfast sandwiches by Steven.
  • Delicious brunch and awesome conversation with Rachel at Hacienda Beer Co.
  • Rachel and I giving each other gifts with the same sentiment. Ha, we both gave each other something that said “My cat and I talk sh*t about you.” Ha!
  • Donating 59 rocks to Sip & Purr to sell!
  • Tie-dying at Sip & Purr! So, we, like a lot of people, did not realize it would not be in the cat lounge, with the cats, but like, how would that work any way? Tie-dye is so messy! We did it outside in the extreme heat, but had fun, and I am so excited to see how my tank, shirt, and scrunchie turn out!
  • Getting cat lounge time even though we weren’t supposed to. Hee hee, I asked if I could go in with Rachel to hide some rocks and the owner said of course we could. Yay!
