A few highlights from last weekend!
Friday
- Riding the Heritage Trail with Dad, Gina, Steve, and Luca. We had a beautifully cool morning and a fun ride!
- Going to Red Robin after our ride. I had not been to Red Robin since before the pandemic! It still smells like a bathroom and the food came cold but we had good service. Ha.
- Steven arriving in Guttenberg, and catching up with everyone.
- A Mexican Tater Tot Casserole.
- Going to Christina’s (snister’s) for a bit and exchanging our river gifts. I commissioned crocheted succulents from Bobbi and they loved them! And Christina gave me a personalized puzzle of a photo I took!
- Doing the puzzle she got Gina with Gina, Steve, and Steven.
Saturday
- A walk then run with Gina.
- Hiding rocks from friends around Guttenberg.
- Vegan French toast at my snister’s.
- Going to the beach! We had lunch there and hung out for a few hours.
- Making a pirate themed Reel with help from Gina and Dad (watch here!).
- Going on a boat ride.
- My second birthday party at my snister’s. She made burgers and loaded fries and made me a fruit pizza!
- Seeing my older brother’s oldest kid – I didn’t know he’d be visiting.
Sunday
- A walk with Gina.
- Hiding the rocks I brought to hide on my birthday but we never got around to.
- Getting our family photo taken, before disaster struck (see below).
- Driving home and seeing the cats!
Lowlights
- All those damn mosquito bites! Blah!
- Luca getting stung a million times. Gah. While we were setting up for the family photo and trying to get their dog turned around to face the camera, Luca very calmly said “I am getting stung!” We all rushed off the deck but not before he got SEVEN wasp stings. Poor kid! He was upset (understandably) but okay, but I just felt so bad for him!
Loved the pirate themed Reel!! I love that your dad is such a great participant!!
Thank you! I loved that he was too! I am trying to brainstorm a second one to make with those “characters.”
Sounds like an awesome time with everyone, except for the wasp stings!!! Poor Luca! π
It was!
Ugh, right? I felt SO bad for him, but thankfully, he did not have a bad reaction to them!
SEVEN wasp stings?!?!?! Even one would be traumatic! What a trooper. That makes me so sad, but I’m glad he was okay overall!
Right? Poor kid! I am so glad he was too. Gah. Hope it doesn’t give him a phobia for life.
Yay for family time and fruit pizza! Boo for wasps, though. Hope Luca is okay.
Right? Poor kid! He is okay though! Phew.
