- The highlight of my week so far was meeting Stephany and her mom for Italian food Monday night in Chicago. Stephany and I have been close internet friends for a few years and I was so excited when she said they were going to be in town this summer and wanted to meet me! I was looking forward to going to the city to see them all day! And I had such a pleasant time chatting with her and her mom – they’re both lovely. We picked up conversation like we were old friends. Well, we are, we just hadn’t met in person yet! I hope we get a chance to see each other again!
- The lowlight of my week has been the internet (and the tower signal on my phones, too!!!) going out on a day I had a national presentation to give! Bobbi saved the day by letting me work and use the WiFi at her place. Thanks, Bobbi! (Lowlight #3 – logging out of Instagram and having it delete all my draft posts and Reels this morning. Fabulous!)
- Then later that night (Lowlight #2) we figured out our new mortgage company never paid our home insurance and it was about to be canceled. After an hour and a half of talking to both we didn’t get it worked out and I was in a MOOD! But I got it fixed yesterday. Phew. But ugh, Tuesday sucked.
- I realized I never posted my Sip & Purr tie-dye results! Here they are! I really love how they turned out and wear them often! I also made a Reel about the event, naturally.
- I needed an oil change and could not get the dealership (where I have a service contract) to call me back, and HATE going there and how long it takes anyway, so we went to the shop of an old warehouse neighbor of Steven’s (meaning he is in the warehouse Steven’s business used to be in). It’s funny to me that having to coordinate the two of us dropping it off and picking it up felt better and easier than me sitting in the dealership for 3 hours. And we supported a small business and got a better price anyway (my car needed some other work done too)!

Your tie dye came out great! And how nice to meet Stephany in person! It is wonderful to meet a blogging friend in person – I loved it when we met up in Texas – gosh, that was a while ago, wasn’t it?
It sounds like you turned a potential lowlight #4 with your car dealership into a win-win with Steven’s old neighbor…
Thank you! Right! It really is. Gosh, what year was that?! I don’t even want to look it up. It was so fun to meet in person though!
Yes, I think so! I’d much rather support them than the dealership, LOL.
Yeah, I get why you wouldn’t to look it up – I was at my dentist yesterday and she looked up how long I had been going there – 30 years!!! Yikes! 😮
I just looked up the photos on FB – 2016 was when we met up in Texas – not too long ago, huh?
Oh wow! But that means a lot – you like your dentist!
Aww, that’s not too bad! Phew! 🙂
It was so much fun having dinner with you! Thanks so much for driving into the city for us 🙂 And for our rocks!
Those tie-dye shirts came out awesome! I love them!
And ugh, I always hate getting an oil change at a car dealership. It always seems to take EONS. I get mine at one of those drive-up oil change shops because I can’t be bothered to spend more than 10 minutes doing this stupid task.
I did too! You’re welcome x2!
Thanks! I am really pleased with them! I thought I wouldn’t be, ha.
I thought of you when I was doing this since we talked about how long we spend at the stupid dealership. What a freaking waste of time.
Yay for meeting Stephany and her mom! I am so glad you met in “real life”, once again proving that “online friendships” are really, well, “friendships”. 🙂
But boo on the oil change issue, and what on EARTH was going on with your mortgage company??? I would have lost my mind!
Yes! They are so real! Most of my friendships started online – especially the friends I spend the most time with in person now (Gina, Bobbi, etc.).
Oh my gosh. It took some more back and forth and it finally got paid last week. So annoying! But we have insurance again, yay!
