Highlight of the Week: Increasing my mileage on Sunday’s long run!

Notes:

  • I am so lazy about what time of day I run since I am not running far or training for anything. I am all “I can survive a few miles if I have water!” when I run midday. And I can! But my face stays hot for so long after, ha ha.
  • Ha, on Wednesday’s run I rolled my right ankle on whatever and fell on the crushed limestone. Ouch! My leg got pretty scratched up, but I was able to keep running. Then later that day I could barely walk on my right foot (the top hurt, not the ankle). I took Thursday as a rest day and felt better. I tested it out with a 2 mile run Friday and felt normal. Phew!

  • I was really excited to try running 5 miles on Sunday, even though it was so hot and muggy. I took it slow and easy and felt good!
