Notes:
- RAGBRAI went so much better than I thought it would! I will write up an entire recap on it, but I was worried – we were supposed to have a high temp of 100°F with real feels even higher! AHH! We didn’t, phew. And we had a fun ride!
- We even got back on our bikes on Friday to ride the Heritage Trail with Gina and her fam. It was a slow easy ride, and so enjoyable.
- Nearly every time I see Gina my knee is flaring up and I just now figured out WHY – it’s because I do a million trips up and down the stairs packing to drive (then all that driving) and that aggravates it! Gah. My knee felt a bit tender by the time I got to their place, but we were able to run together – that was my first run this year with someone! Woo hoo!
- Monthly recap! In July I ran 28 miles (12 runs). I am so happy to be running again! I cycled 322.4 miles (11 rides). I walked 3 times and did 7 strength workouts. I did one event – RAGBRAI Day 4, from Iowa Falls to Waterloo.
So glad RAGBRAI went well and that you are running again – and you figured out what might be bothering you knee, which is good to know!
Yeah! Now I just need to figure out how to avoid all those stair trips when I pack! I tend to make a list then go all over the house to grab things. I should make the list by area of the house!
YAAAAYYY! Your RAGBRAI sounds like it was so much better than anticipated! So glad you figured out your wonky knee and that you got to run with Gina!
Yes I am so relieved! I was worried about that weather.
And yes! I am traveling soon and I am going to try to do less trips on the stairs before 🙂
