- It’s been so nice to store our bikes in Dragonstone. We used to keep them in the basement and I had to lug them up the stairs whenever I wanted to use them. No more! Now I just open the garage door and grab one and go.
- There’s a post office right by our house I’d never used until last week, and when I went, I saw that the mechanic shop next to it has ducks (including ducklings), roosters, and chickens! I’ll definitely be back to see them again. I mean, BABY DUCKLINGS?!?!?! (I was going to post a pic, but I didn’t get a good one, womp, so here is a random pic of Khali)
- Sip & Purr contacted me this week to tell me that they are almost completely out of rocks! I donated 102, and told them to sell the small ones for $5 and the few big ones for $10, and seeing that they have 11 left, I am going to guess my rocks have raised at least $500 for them! Yay!
I am not going to charge them for my next donation – I want to help the cats by donating something they can sell there! I did ask if we could trade for time for me in the Cat Lounge, hee hee (she said yes, of course!).
- The cats had a visitor yesterday morning! This cat is new – I haven’t seen them before! I put food of for them – hope they ate it ! (someone did!)
Yes, refinishing our decks is on our long to-do list
- I ordered a special Etsy order that’s a print of our cats and I can’t wait to share it with you when I get it! Randomness – I found this Etsy account because someone who I’ve painted their pets on a rock shared their print of their pets from this Etsy shop and immediately I was like “that print is way better than the rocks I painted for them!” (all in my head, nothing they said made me think that.) Then eventually I was like “NO KIM, your art has value too, it’s just different.” This is why I screenshot motivational messages like this to look at on my phone when I feel meh:
- The striped shirt from my stitch fix has really cute detailing on the back – buttons down the center! It would help if I had a picture to show you but… yeah… forgot to take one.
- Yay, Google finally added customization back to chat status (we use gmail at work)! I use it all the time to write “in a meeting” or “reviewing docs” or whatever, and they took it away. At first you couldn’t even write “away”! Then they added that, and a DND, but as of today, I can say what I am doing, woo hoo!
I save motivation messages for myself to read all the time too! Have a wonderful weekend:)
It helps, right?
Have a wonderful weekend, too! 🙂
So happy that your garage is holding all the things! I can’t imagine lugging a bike up and down stairs more than once, LOL.
Very cool on how well your rocks have gone over at Sip and Purr! What a special way to make a donation to help kitties…and speaking of which, the shot of that black cat looking between the railing is adorable. Wonder if you have a new outdoor cat??
It’s so nice to have this space!!!
Thank you, I am really excited about it! I’ve been working on new rocks for them 🙂
I am wondering if he’s a new outdoor cat too – he looks pretty young!
I’m so glad you have the Dragonstone to store your bikes! I’m always a fan of the path of least resistance, especially when it comes to working out. So much easier to grab and go when you’re not lugging a bike upstairs every time you want to go for a ride!
Hooray for your rocks selling like hotcakes at Sip & Purr! That’s really exciting. And I’m glad you negotiated for time petting cats! Petting cats > money, haha.
What a beautiful black cat visitor! I hope they come back. <3
I think you are extremely talented as an artist, but creating art can definitely make everything in our heads go crazy! I get into that headspace, too, especially when it comes to writing, whether it's at work or someone who just writes a really beautiful blog post and then I get all up in my head about it. Argh! Brainssss.
Exactly! It was such a pain to have them in the basement. I never wanted to bring them up OR put them away. Ha.
Thanks! And yessssssssssssssss. I can’t wait to go again!
I hope the black cat comes back too!
Isn’t it weird? And then I will like hate something in the moment and look at it later and think “that’s pretty good!” Do you get that way with your writing, too?
I think it is wonderful that you have generated so much money for a good cause with your art! Well done! And it says a lot about you as a person that you are happy to do that for them.
Thank you so much! It makes me feel so good to help them in this way! And I love when someone comments on my Instagram that they bought one of my rocks there 🙂
Thank you!
I have about 30 ready for my next donation on Aug 8!
OK, I’m sorry – that is SUPER cool about Sip & Purr! Are the cats they have at the cafe up for adoption? Or is there some other way they work to help cats? I love that you’re donating to them so they don’t have to pay for something that will help them (and the cats)!
I think your visitor is really cute, too. Have they come back?
They are almost all up for adoption except two who live there permanently – Nacho and Nero! And they help cats worldwide by doing rescue (they are going to Beirut next week to bring home cats!) and giving them items in need (they are taking a bunch of kitten food with them for the cats there). Thank you! It makes me feel really good to donate and I have 51 rocks ready to take on Sunday!
They have! We saw them run across the yard with a mouse in their mouth two weeks ago! Ha!
