A few highlights from the weekend!
Friday
- Seeing Lorena for a mani/pedi, and Lorena giving me a cute mug!
- A Shitterfly order that got lost in the mail and reordered twice finally arriving on the third try (thanks for your help with that, Snis!).
- Trying the strawberry shortcake Frappuccino at Starbucks. I didn’t realize it had coffee in it, but I liked it! (I don’t drink coffee so I was surprised I did!)
- Burgers for dinner.
Saturday
- Getting a longer bike ride in and seeing lots of runners I knew. Although that was sort of a lowlight – it made me want to be running (not in a big group with them, that’s not for me, ha).
- Meeting a Facebook friend for a commission drop off and having a nice conversation. She ordered rocks to hide for her daughter and she told me later that her daughter loved finding them!
- Someone telling me on Instagram that they bought one of my rocks from Sip & Purr.
- Finishing a commission order.
- Going to Rachel’s for a going-away party for one of her coworkers. Ha, I don’t work with Rachel and only already knew two of her coworkers but had a great time! And her husband grilled some Beyond Brats, yum yum yum.
- Two people posting on Facebook that they loved commission rocks I made for them.
- Catching up on podcasts on my drive to and from Rachel’s.
- Seeing a pretty sunset on the drive home.
Sunday
- Breakfast sandwiches with Steven.
- Playing with our cats.
- Spending the day with Bobbi! She came over and visited ours cats, then we went to Sip & Purr’s Drag Bingo with Cats which was SO FUN! We got there early and got drinks and snacks and sat in the cafe and watched them set up for bingo – one cat was intent on destroying the plastic tablecloth they were setting up, ha! Then we got to go in the cat lounge for two whole hours for bingo! It was so fun! Malibu Casey (the drag queen) was funny and sweet, and the cats were hilarious during bingo – covering our cards, swatting at our tokens, walking all over the table, getting in our bags. And I ended up winning a round and got to pick out a prize, woot!
- Giving Sip & Purr more rocks to sell, and seeing my rocks out for sale!
- Eating at On the Bus with Bobbi. We had a super late lunch and that vegan burger, fries, and shake HIT. THE. SPOT. So good. What a fun day!
- Using the PictureThis app to identify trees/plants/etc. in our yard with Steven.
- My Women’s Club Zoom call being postponed. I was so fried and needed the time off.
- Talking with Mom on the phone.
Lowlights
- Someone leaving a dumb comment on the rainbow cat rock post on my rock Instagram Friday. CATS CAN ONLY BE MALE OR FEMALE, FOLKS! Huh?!?! Exactly.
- The weekend being a bit too full, but I knew it would be that way! Beyond all this I had a bunch of appointments and errands too. Too much.
- How hot it was all weekend – in the low 90s. Ick.
I would read an entire post about Drag Bingo π That sounds so fun! And I’m glad you had your rainbow mani for the occasion.
I was thinking about writing an entire post about it! And we have videos, hee hee. It was so much fun! I think it might be coming back monthly!!!
Perfect timing for the mani!
What? Somebody left that comment about the rainbow cat rocks? WTH???
Ha, yeah, it was kind of nuts. They have since deleted it!
So many good things here that I don’t know what to comment on! The Drag Queen Bingo at Sip & Purr sounds AMAZING, especially since the cats were just walking around and climbing on tables!! I would have been in HEAVEN.
I love your rainbow mani and I’m so annoyed at whoever left that rude comment on your rock Instagram! Stupid people are stupid. π
Full weekends are a LOT. I like having them every now and then, but then I need, like, 3 low-key weekends in a row to recover.
It was heaven! I always feel so overstimulated by how fun it is to go there with all the cats everywhere π
I am too! I am glad they went back and deleted it, and hope they feel better unfollowing me.
That is kind of where I am with this one. On Monday someone was being aggressive with wanting to meet up in person with me (telling me what to do and where to meet them) and that was a big NOPE since I was recovering from the weekend still.
