Notes:
- My office is participating in a group cycling challenge against other Chicagoland businesses from 6/21 to 7/2, and I joined our group. We get points for how many miles we ride, and more points for consecutive days of workouts. I am glad I joined – I did NOT feel like riding Monday after my first day of training but someone from the group sent out an email on our group’s standing and it got me out the door!
- Gosh my knee hurt so bad Tuesday afternoon and evening. I wonder if cycling is actually aggravating it. Or sitting at my desk all day. Luckily it didn’t hurt that bad again this week.
- I really wanted to do the biking streak but being exhausted from training and rain kept me from riding Thursday and Friday. Oops.
- It was fun to ride with Dad and Thomas on Saturday and Sunday! I’m glad we could fit it in with the rain.
- I saw friends on both my rides this weekend. It’s so fun to run into people when I am out on the trails.
Did Thomas and Dad bring their bikes? So nice they could bike with you!! Seeing your helmets made me think I was wearing mine backwards. (I checked and I’m not lol!)
Dad brought his and his helmet and Thomas used my bike, helmet, gloves, and a jersey one day 🙂 It was nice to ride together!
LOL! Dad picked his up and was like “This is my helmet?” I was like… “yes, you brought it…?” and he was like “I guess I’ve never looked at it before.” LOL!
Are you riding on the same routes that you run? If so, it’s really nice that they work for both -and it gives you more opportunities to see your running friends (and hide rocks!).
I hope that your knee has calmed down since you wrote this. 🙁 Did they have a tentative diagnosis for you? Or was it just overuse?
I am riding the same trails I run, but going much farther on them, hence seeing more people I know and hiding rocks in new places! 🙂
It has gotten better! The dr didn’t give me a diagnosis, other than it was probably a strain. I am so glad I could run a little, very slowly, last week.
