A few highlights from the weekend!
Friday
- A walk with Tricia. Tricia is in my rock painting group, and painted me some cute mugs so we meet up to exchange (I had a rock for her).
- A nap with the cats.
- Working on some commission rock orders.
Saturday
- A long bike ride.
- Catching up with Mom on the phone.
- Getting some chores done at the house – mostly cleaning the windows – it makes me bonkers when they’re super dirty.
- Working on a commission order while we watched one of our favorite movies – Crazy, Stupid, Love.
- Going out for ice cream and exploring Lake Michigan with Steven.
- A short nap when we got back.
- Starting watching the Fast & Furious movies to get ready for seeing F9. And painting a Fast & Furious rock while watching.
Sunday
- Feeling useful by helping Steven set up shelving at his new warehouse.
- Painting some ice cream cat rocks.
Lowlights
- Me not managing my time well.
- The heat. It’s still technically spring. Ha, like that means anything.
- A rainstorm completely missing us.
Mmm, ice cream! The best summer treat. π
I’m sorry you felt like you didn’t manage your time well this weekend! I hate when that happens. I always want to maximize my weekends and it’s not fun when I don’t.
Yes! It was so good! This place had four vegan flavors and I actually got the espresso one. WHO AM I?!
Right! I need to figure it out for this weekend so I am not so moody again!
I’ve missed this in another post, but how long is a long bike ride for you these days? The F&F rocks look so clean and proportional. (I should try to draw a car for you some time hahaha.)
What flavor of ice cream did you get?
I just started riding my bike again at the beginning of June, after not riding it for a year, so I’ve been building up slowly! So my long ride on Saturday was 23 miles. I hope to do 30 this week! We signed up for Day 4 of RAGBRAI, which is 70 miles, and will end up being closer to 80.
Aww thanks! Yes, draw one!
I actually got espresso oreo! It was the vegan flavor that sounded best, and I liked it! Steven got one with cashews in it and the ice cream part was so good but I can’t eat whole nuts like that.
Sorry about the time management issues. On the other hand, ice cream (I recognize that logo!), although I’d have been awake all night with espresso Oreo. π
And, those mugs are wonderful – you and your painting friends are so skilled!
I do not understand why caffeine does not affect me! Taking a nap too close to bedtime does though. Ha!
Isn’t she?! And she’s so kind to make them for me!
