- I’m excited for my next Stitch Fix. I requested jeans and cute casual stuff, and I saw a preview of my box and it looks like my stylist delivered! I badly need new jeans. The ones I have never looked good, and they’re wearing out. My fix is arriving soon and I’ll definitely post it! (I hope I’m not jinxing it by writing about it in advance ahhhhh)
- I’ve started using a daily moisturizer with SPF 40, and I’ve been pretty good about remembering to wear it, but my face still gets a bit burned on my sunny runs. Ugh!
- At work I can now send requests to my old team for work I used to do. It’s nice… when I remember to do it and don’t automatically do the work myself!
- I had way less meetings than I normally do at work this week, and it was GLORIOUS! I got so much done! Thank heavens for spring break.
- Other random work thoughts – I like how COVID-19 has normalized asking if someone is available to talk via chat or video. I used to always do that, but not many others did, and it felt intrusive. I’m glad they do now.
- Here’s the cats playing with some new Mew Mice I got them from TacoCat Creations. Well, Starbuck and Khali are playing with the mice, ha! The cats were sleeping when I opened the mice and I was going to put them by them and see if they woke up, but the catnip was so strong they woke up just from the smell when I opened it (see bottom pic of their smelling faces)!
I can’t wait to see your next Stitch Fix. I am counting down the days to late June when I get my next box, hahaha.
So after I told you to get a moisturizer with SPF, Jamie Golden said that those typically don’t have enough sunscreen in them to be effective! (This is more of an issue for people using specific serums in their skincare routine, as it strips the face of protective oils, but still.) So maybe just add a facial sunscreen when you’re going out for a run? SKINCARE IS SO CONFUSING.
When I opened the mew mice I received from TacoCat, the girls went craaaaazy from the scent alone hahaha. I was going to put them away to bring them out at a later time, but they were not having it! And then Ellie got majorly catnip-high, which was hilarious. I think the mew mice is one of their favorite toys!
ME TOOOOOOOOOOO AHHHHHHHHHH! It shipped. Where is it?! (I need to check, ha)
Oh interesting! I thought since it had SPF 40 that would be enough! And it really bills itself as a daily sunscreen. Sigh. I have not found one I can wear when I run yet (and not have it run into my eyes or make it so my pores can’t breathe).
Isn’t that nuts?! That is some STRONG nip! LOL Ellie! I am glad it’s one of their faves!
I have been buying a lot of new jeans lately (second hand). It’s so amazing when you find a pair that fits perfectly!!!
That’s awesome you are finding some too! I have your painted ones heat sealed… I hope you like them…
I was just coming down here to say what Stephany said – moisturizer with sunscreen doesn’t have sufficient sunscreen for longer outside use. So you definitely want to put that on then layer a sunscreen on top. Runners World reviews some every year; here are some ideas: https://www.runnersworld.com/health-injuries/g20815709/eight-great-sunscreens-for-runners/
And yay for another Stitch Fix. Since I’m late to the party, I’ll have to read ahead for that post. 😉
Thanks for the link! That is a bummer that it does not do both! I liked the way the moisturizer felt so I ordered their 50 spf sport sunscreen too and will start using that each day.
It was a good one! I am wearing the jeans and one of the hoodies now, LOL.
