A few highlights from the extended weekend!
Monday
- Painting rocks with Luca.
- Lunch and shopping with Snistina and Gina.
- A walk with Gina.
- Playing Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza with Gina and Luca.
- Dinner at my snister’s.
- Playing What Do You Meme with family.
Tuesday
- Hiding rocks with my nephews and parents. It was such a beautiful sunny day (despite the wind!) and it felt good to be on the golf cart with the sun in my face. And Leo snuggled with me the whole time which was just heaven!
- Helping with some electrical stuff at Gina and Steve’s place.
- Eating dinner under the beautiful light fixture Steven and Steve installed.
- My family visiting to see Gina and fam’s new place.
- Watching funny animal Reels with Luca.
Wednesday
- Logging into my work computer to run a call (sigh) and seeing I only had 70 emails (yay!). Plus my awesome boss had gotten on to run the call for me, so I didn’t even need to!
- Helping with electrical again.
- Giving Snis the tour of Gina and fam’s new place.
- Taking our family photo – we’ve taken a family photo every time we’ve gotten together since August 2020.
- Eating our meal together and not feeling sad about not seeing Gina and fam for a while because we know they’ll be back at their second home soon.
- Saying goodbye to my family.
- Seeing Shitterfly had magnets on sale for $1. Perfect timing!
- Seeing the cats when we got home.
- Most of the snow being gone when we got home. I can’t wait to go run on the muddy trails!
You packed so much into these few days, and I’m glad the weather behaved for you. Have you talked about Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza before? I’m not familiar with this game. Well, I’m actually not familiar with most of the games you mention.
I mentioned it in January but not how it works! It’s a card flipping, hand slapping game, where each person says part of the name of the game, and puts a card down, until what you say matches what you put down, then the last person to slap the deck has to take all the cards. There are also wild cards where you have to do something before slapping the deck. It’s fun! The meme game was fun too!
Sounds like a great time and the pretzel looks happy, too!
It’s a very happy pretzel that made me happy!
What a fun extended weekend! I recently bought the family edition of What Do You Meme so we can play it during game night with my older nephew. I can’t wait to play it!
I’m glad you didn’t have to run a meeting during your time off – yay!
I am glad you got the family edition – the edition we played was a bit raunchy but really fun! Let me know what funny combos you come up with! Some made us laugh so hard we cried!
Thanks for talking about Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza card game. It’s been a month since I last played it. Need to break it out again now that the weather turned cold again.
You’re welcome! You def need to!!!
