I didn’t paint much this week or last weekend (I’ve just been so mentally drained), but I do have a few things to share.

First, an observation. I noticed I outline better when I am sitting on the couch than at our kitchen peninsula where I usually work. Why? Because my elbow is resting and it makes it easier to guide my hand. Strange, but it works.

I actually painted these nesting rainbow cats last week as a gift for Rachel, but I didn’t want her to see it before she opened it. This is my most liked rock photo on my Instagram so far! This design is based off of a shirt I saw in an ad.

I added birds and dinos to the “Animals with hearts” series. I hope to hide these tomorrow, but it’s supposed to be really freaking cold so we’ll see. You can see more (cats, dogs, and sea creatures) from the series here. In my mind I still might do farm animals but who knows. These animals are based on stickers I saw online.

I painted these bases WAY back in the beginning of December and finally came up with something to do with them – single line drawings! These are quick for the first pass, then I spend time trying to make the line look more consistent. I painted some others but can’t share them yet. These designs are based on images I found googling “single line drawing animals.”

Side note: I really think I want a single line drawing cat tattoo.

And finally, a cat sleeping on rainbow clouds. This was based on an image my snister sent me. A company sent me pens (<— not an affiliate link) to try and talk about on my Instagram so I used them for this rock.
