My snister gave me a placemat with Star Wars characters on it, and they were just asking to be painted on rocks! So that’s what I’ve worked on all week.

I used to be a huge Star Wars fan, so it’s kind of odd it’s taken me this long to paint Star Wars rocks.

But the oversaturation of Star Wars (after Disney acquired them) kind of killed my interest. I don’t even own the last two movies (VIII & IX), or any of the origin story movies (Rogue One or the Han Solo one) and have only seen them once in the theater. <— Insert cat making home alone face!

But I still love the original trilogy (IV-VI), and have fond memories of seeing them for the first time, yes, when they were re-released, because I was not alive in 1977, 1980, or 1983.

And I have fond memories of seeing Episodes I-III as a teenager and young adult. Even though they were NOT great movies, I have special memories from seeing each one.

And it was really fun to paint these – the placemat style aligned perfectly with my “cartoony” painting style.

I’ll probably hide them tomorrow on my walk with friends! It’s finally warm enough here (for now) to go on walks and hide rocks again, yay!

Hopefully people know who TF these rocks are, when they are hidden separately, and not in a set!
