Same as last week – I have updates on two of my February goals – one success and one failure (and one in progress!).
✔️READ 3 BOOKS
I finished my third book of the month on February 15 and will probably read 1-1.5 more this month, yay!
Speaking of books, remember how the library called me and said I need to pay $154 a year for a library card? Well they called me this week to confirm my contact information and said next time I visit I just need to bring my utility card and then I can get my new three-year library card. I was elated!
Then they called me back an hour later and said “oops, no, you need to pay $154 online and bring in the receipt and then we will give you a one year card.”
Womp womp. It did sound too good to be true.
😩MOVEMENT EVERY DAY
Also womp, womp, I took a complete rest day on Wednesday. I had a stressful/annoying day and worked later and just wanted to take a bath (which I did) and go straight to bed (I did not).
🥰4 WALKS WITH FRIENDS/FAMILY
And a progress update – I walked twice this weekend with family, yay! Once with my Dad (to go get stuff to make sweats from the grocery store, ha) and once with my Dad, brother-in-laws, and two nephews.
I’m just catching up on your blog — congrats on finishing your reading goal! I’m like you, I had a “move more” goal, but I’ve found it weirdly hard to stick to. (And ugh, I don’t even have bad weather that’s keeping me inside. What gives?) I’ll try to encourage you this week so you can finish the month strong.
Your big, puffy parka made me giggle because I saw this post when I was in a park, and it was such a difference from what I was experiencing weather-wise today. It looks so cozy! Did you bring it with you, or was it in reserve for your visits?
Thanks! It’s so weird – it’s like my work days are so busy and exhausting I am really picky about what I want to spend my limited brain power on after work. And no need to encourage me – it will just make me not want to do it/or feel bad if I am planning to after work (I know, I am weird). Thank you though!!!!
My sister actually bought it for me and gave it to me this weekend so it was my first time using it! I’ve never had one like that before. It will be great for cold walks to work when we are back in the office.
dang! that sucks about the library, first they dangle that carrot in front of your nose, only to snatch it away an hour later!!! Just for that they should give you a break on the membership – jeez!
Ha, I wish! At least this time it didn’t give me the emotional roller coaster – I just laughed about it!
I’m trying to work on a goal of being outside for 20 minutes a day because I’ve recently realized there are many days when I don’t even leave my apartment (I’m so lazy, lol). I know I need more vitamin D, but ugh, it’s so hard sometimes! It will be easier when DST starts (two more weeks yassss) and I have some daylight in the evening. Anyway, all this to say, I understand how hard it is to work in these daily goals!
You aren’t lazy – your apartment is comfortable, why would you leave? <3 Does sitting on the patio count for being outside? Have the cats been going out with you?
I am actually looking forward to DST this year. Usually I am not but this year is different (because of rock hiding LOLOL).
You’re doing great – Don’t let one complete rest day tell you otherwise 😉
Thank you! <3
