A few highlights from the weekend!
Thursday
- Hiding a very silly rock on my run.
- Feeling strong on my run after I got off the snow and onto pavement.
- Leftover Chinese food for lunch. So. Good.
- Working on a rock gift.
- Chili and cornbread for dinner.
- All the cats chilling in the living room with us. Family time!
- Going to bed around 9:30 pm on New Year’s Eve.
Friday
- A walk with Kathie.
- First Starbucks of the year.
- Working on more rock gifts and Steven setting up the tripod with lighting for me to better see what I was doing.
- Pizza and pasta takeout for dinner. So. Good.
Saturday
- Lifting and running.
- Getting some chores done. I feel so accomplished when I do minimal chores lately. Facepalm.
- Getting presents for my family wrapped. (Not that I like it, but am glad to have it mostly done!)
- A mani/pedi with Lorena.
- Fun texts with Snis throughout the day.
- A phone call with Mom.
- Working on more rock gifts. I can’t wait to show you what I’ve been working on in a few weeks!
Sunday
- “Sleeping in.” I did this Thursday-Sunday – wake up around 3:30/4:00 then stay up until 5:30/6:00 then go back to bed until around 8:00. Not the best habit but it works for now.
- Warm weather (for January) for my run.
- A walk with Bobbi.
- Bobbi giving the cats the Target Taco Truck. I have had my eye on it for SO LONG and was super excited she got it for them, and the cats love it too!
Lowlights
- Starbuck being scared by a train whistle and running across my face (in bed) with her claws out. Ouch. Saturday was rough with noises for the cats – there was snow sliding off the roof, random fireworks (???), a loud movie, and loud trains. Sunday was better.
Hehe, whenever I’m snuggly with one cat on my bed and the other one jumps up, I always say, “Are you here for family time?” π
Hooray for a tripod and lighting! You’re a professional rock artist now!
I have to say that one of my favorite things is to wake up early, get some stuff done around my apartment and then go back to bed around 9 for a few hours. That mid-morning nap is SENSATIONAL.
I’m sorry for the cat scratches! EEKS. There were so many fireworks going off all weekend. I saw a meme that said something like, “My neighbors would like to wish you a very happy 8:27pm,” and yes, the Internet GETS IT.
Aww! I love that you say it too!!!
It helped SO much. I still have to do some detailing in the daylight. Am I getting old or something? π
Yeah, and it’s the perfect time to nap too and not feel like crap or not be able to fall asleep later!
Ha ha ha. And why fireworks days later? I am just NOT a fireworks fan ever (I don’t like loud noises) so I don’t get it, but try to understand on the 4th of July and NYE…
Oooh, Chinese food. I haven’t had it in so long. Hm. I wonder if the best place in town (which is close by!) is delivering these days… π
And, ouch, sorry about the scratches, the trains (I have problems with this, too) and the random fireworks. WTH???
Did you find out?! YUMMMMM.
Sigh. Why there were fireworks in the middle of the day on Jan 3 I will never know! We also live close to a shooting range so we have a lot of outdoor noise at our house.
I took a nap around 11pm New Year’s Eve and woke up 8 mins to midnight.
Ha! Perfect timing!
