My new work branded clothing came and the hoodie is SO cozy! I don’t want to ever take it off! I hope the polos and the jacket are this nice!
Did anyone else have an absolutely bonkers start to the work week? I always say how nice and quiet it is to work over the holidays – and it truly is – hardly anyone else is working so I get caught up on everything and can focus on reviewing things without being interrupted a ton.
But holy cow, coming back from that on Monday was such a sharp contrast! Everyone who was off those two weeks was rushing to get things done. There were so many design “emergencies” and I was starting to get onboarded with emails and meetings for my new role, and just, wow. Monday was a BAD day.
Ack, so sorry you’ve had such a stressful work week! That sucks – but maybe it means that work-kim’s job can only get better in 2021? Here’s hoping!!

Yeah, it will get better! It’s going to be tough to transition out of my projects and start my new job but I will get there! And people will calm down soon.

To answer your question: YES. Monday was ROUGH and I felt like I was running around trying to answer emails and figure out where all my projects stood.
It is so great! I am going to order another when they open orders again.
I was wondering if that happened to you since you were off for a week! We should have a no meetings rule for the first Monday of the year back 😉

Hoodies are my favorite and that is awesome that you get work branded clothing. It’s a hassle for us to get it.

I love that in the federal government (I think you work for the feds, right?) it takes multiple communications with legal to get… hoodies. Sigh. Things I Do Not Miss. (Things I miss? Oh, man, the health insurance… sigh again…). This reminds me that I need more cozy tops in my life, because apparently half a closet’s worth of fleece is insufficient in 2020/2021.

Is this work hoodie “swag” or a uniform that you have to wear when you are doing things on-site? (I wasn’t sure when you said “polos” since I always think of those as a uniform.)

It’s not – they are completely optional and for fun, but we can wear them to be casual at work!
