Time for my weekly rock photo dump! Let’s start with orders!
My snis ordered this rock of her friend Jacquie’s dog Bear back in December. I painted it before Christmas, so it’s an early work of mine (the post title is a LIE!).
This is my first commission from a non-family member… although it is for a family friend. They saw my car rocks on Facebook and ordered this one of their ’48 Jeep Willys CJ2A as a birthday gift for the Jeep’s owner.
These next two are gifts for the owner of TacoCat Creations – my favorite place to get toys for the cats and face masks for me! The first rock is of their current logo, and the second is a design I copied from a shirt my snis got me. Meagan, the store owner, mentioned wanting to start painting rocks, and that she loves one that someone randomly left on her doorstep, so that inspired me to make these for her.
Here’s an example of how the messages look that I put on the back of the personal rocks I make.
And here’s me modeling the rock with the shirt that inspired it.
I made this one as a gift for my close friend Courtney, modeled after her two cats. I asked her to send me pics of the back of her cats last week. I wonder if she wondered why the heck I was asking for that!
And you might see these again in an upcoming post when I have more done. I am doing triptychs (I can use that, right?!) of animals with hearts, to hide in February for Valentine’s Day. So far I’ve done cats, dogs, and sea creatures. I want add barn animals, safari animals, birds, and dinosaurs.
Your cat line art logo! Itโs… itโs… BACKWARDS!!!!
Narwhals rock! (See what I did there?)
Ha, yes it is! It worked better with the rock shape and the side of the rock I wanted to use that way ๐
LOL, ba dum ching!
Oh I just LOVE the little sea creatures!! They are so adorable!!!
That was so nice of you to make rocks for TacoCat Creations! The kitty with the mask is perfect.
I’ve been terrible about commenting lately so I don’t remember if I ever commented on your other post with car rocks, but those are seriously works of art, as is this one! The detail is just incredible!
Thanks! I liked how the octopus-ish thing and narwhal turned out.
Thank you! She really liked it! <3
And thanks again!!! ๐ Those are a lot of fun to make and see how they turn out!
The sea animals are so cute!!! As is all the rest, but that little crab is my favorite!
Aww thank you! I always pick a favorite too! I think mine is the octopus type thingy or the narwhal ๐
These are amazing! Do you enjoy doing the commissioned pieces, or do you get intimidated to do them?
The little narwhal makes me smile so big!!
Thanks! Commissioned stuff stresses me out. Thinking other people are relying and waiting on me stresses me out. LOL. People keep telling me to start a shop and I think I couldn’t handle it, but I am going to try one-off orders like this.
Aww, I am happy it does!
Cute. I love the narwhal!
Thank you!
Love these rocks and the Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza inspirations (yes I have played the game a few times and it’s super fun)
Isn’t it though? I almost wish I lived with more people so I could play it more!!!
