A few highlights from the weekend!
Thursday
- Taking a nap after work.
- Chinese takeout for dinner.
- Wearing comfy new PJs my mom got me.
Friday
- Waking up and immediately remembering it’s payday and I have the day off.
- Getting a lot done since I woke up so early (not on purpose).
- Going to a new-to-me park to look for a rock and watch the sunrise.
- A nap with Apollo and Starbuck.
- Seeing deer in the yard.
- Starting a car rock commission (of a ’48 Jeep Willys CJ2A).
- Catching up with Mom on the phone.
- All the Bernie memes all day long.
- Apollo being a lap cat during our after dinner movie.
Saturday
- Sleeping in, and waking up with the cats.
- Working on the car rock commission.
- Getting some cleaning done.
- Seeing a sundog on my run.
- Steven surprising me with an LED lamp/magnifying glass for rock painting.
- Wearing comfy new PJs my snis got me.
Sunday
- Someone telling me my “4 Things You Need to Start Painting Rocks” post was useful.
- Painting rocks using my new lamp and magnifying glass.
- Texting with Snis (all day, every day, only we often use Messenger now since my texting is still not working great).
- My Shitterfly magnets arriving (I didn’t check the mail until Sunday).
- Feeling strong on my run.
- Using my new fanny pack to carry rocks to hide while I ran.
- Starbucks making my drink iced by accident then remaking it hot and giving me the iced drink to give Steven. I would have accepted the iced drink but I had just run and it would have made me way too cold!
- Chatting with Mom on the phone.
- Helping Steven organize Dragonstone.
- Vegan Pasta Alfredo for dinner.
- The Chiefs win.
Lowlights
- Accidentally putting a maroon pillowcase in with our new(est) white sheets and dying them pink. Oops.

That sunrise pic is beautiful! I’ve never even heard of that park before which just tells you how many parks there are around there!
And fun fact that you might already know, Jeep and Willys are/were both HQ here in Toledo. There’s even a road here called Willys Parkway.

Thanks! And right? When someone posted in my rock group that they hid a rock there I was like “well wth is that?” It’s right by the train station I used to use when i went to the city!

I don’t think there’s a museum. There is usually a Jeep parade downtown in the summer. I think they canceled it last year though 🙁

Yes they are!!!! I was so glad I got a pair from both of them. They both got me slippers too, which I go through fast. Yay! (yay that they got them, not that I go through them so fast, ha)

I am so happy with the Chiefs win and hope they brutalize the Bucs in two weeks. Even though that’s my hometown team, I am NOT a Bucs fan and hate Tom Brady with a passion so I want them to be embarrassed with a terrible loss. 🙂

Your pay day is Friday? How often do you get paid? It’s so interesting that it’s so different across the agencies. My payday is Tuesdays (bi-weekly).
Yeah, every other Friday. That is interesting! I never would have thought of Tuesday! But it must just feel so normal to you!
I do not typically root for AFC teams (um, I live in Wisconsin) but I’m completely behind the Chiefs for this one. I knew I liked Stephany already, but I like her even more now that I know she shares my extreme dislike of Tom Brady. If I never have to hear about him again it will be too soon.
And yay for cozy jammies. My MIL got me velour pjs for Christmas, and at first I thought, velour? But oh, they’re wonderful. Cuddle Duds makes some awesome ones.
Ha ha ha, I loved Stephany’s comment and am still thinking about it. Seems like Tom Brady has had his time to shine? I don’t even follow spots and I know that.
Oh wow! They aren’t too hot? Cuddl Duds makes great stuff! Our super warm winter blanket is by them!
