Notes:

  • I was really excited about temps in the 30s for my Thursday run but with 17 mph winds and higher gusts it felt like 18°. Wah. But really, it’s been such a mild winter, I should not complain!
  • Gah, I felt so stiff and slow on my Saturday run! I thought I’d be full of energy since I waited to run in the afternoon rather than going out first thing but… nope. Let’s blame it on the strength session the day before?
  • I’m so glad I ended my running week on a paved trail listening to music. I was in a groove and felt like I was going fast. It felt so much better than the previous day’s run! And I wore the new fanny pack my mom gave me, and had it full of rocks to hide. I could previously only hide 2-3 rocks on a run because I did not have a great way to carry them (and didn’t want them to scratch each other) but now that I have the fanny pack and varnish them, I can run with more!
  • I don’t really care much about running right now. Like I want to do it, 4-5 days a week, but I don’t care about mileage (new for me) or pace (not new for me). And I am 100% A-OK with that! It just feels a bit odd, since I normally have a weekly mileage goal and an itch to run each day. I call this progress. (Really, it just means my compulsive obsession is focused on something else, rock painting)
