- Where was this awesome butterfly wand toy last year when I had a goal to play with the cats more? This wand makes it fun for me, and the cats are going crazy for it! Thank you to my family for the gift! I think the key is that the “string” part of the wand is actually a wire, so it makes the butterfly more bouncy and realistic. I had a wire wand toy like this on my Amazon wish list because it had such high reviews, and now I see why. (Note: I put this and all wand toys out of reach when we aren’t playing with them… I’m worried they’ll choke themselves)
- This is old news, but Aliphine and Tim had their baby on January 13th! I am so excited for them!
- We have flexible start/finish time at work (we always have, but it’s even more flexible now, during the pandemic) – as long as we get our 9 hours in, we can start and finish our week day whenever, within reason. And lately I can’t really decide what I want to do. I like starting at 6:30 when it’s quiet and catching up on emails from the day before… but I also like running early, and working late… but then when I get back it feels like I have a lot to catch up on during a busy time (but then you work later and it gets quieter). I’m grateful for the flexibility. And I am sure each day will just be decided on my laziness/tiredness!

I bought my first pair of Lulu capris right before I hurt my back but the one time I got to wear them, I really liked them. That is some pretty sweet swag you got; hope everything works well for you!
I love the three matching hats in that picture! What a sweet moment to see. π
Oh yay! Well, not that you only got to wear them once though! π I hope I like them too!
Right?! I loved that too.
The link to the wand toy doesn’t work for me. π I think the girls need it! One of the best toys I ever got for them was this $2 wire wand thing (Okay – I think your link might be fine. It’s the Chewy website that’s erroring out because I tried to open the link the teaser I have and it sends me to an error page!) But this is what I have and it’s their FAVORITE: https://www.chewy.com/frisco-wire-teaser-cat-toy/dp/187915. They go nuts for this one – way more than any other teaser.
We have a flexible schedule, too! I tend to get start working late in the morning (like 9:30-10:00, ha) which means I’m usually working late in the evenings. I’m hoping that developing a better morning routine will get me to start working earlier so I can be done with work earlier, but we’ll see! I also don’t mind working until 7ish. My inbox is quiet, at least!
You got some amazing swag! Niiiiiice.
Sorry it’s not working! The idea of it is similar to the Frisco toy, only the butterfly toy has a nice comfortable wand! I hope you can get it to open now and see it!
Yeah, I was going to say, if working late works for you, you should keep doing it! It’s just nice to have some part of the day where you aren’t getting bombarded with emails. That always stresses me out. I know I don’t need to respond right away but it’s a bad habit of mine and it stresses me out not to!
Are the Lululemon tights a good replacement for the tights that your dryer ate? (I have a few Lululemon things, but hilariously, the real fan in the household is Harrison. He loves their pants and wears them exclusively on the weekends.)
I can’t remember, do you do “laser toys” with your cats? I remember reading that they’re kind of cruel because the cats have nothing physical to catch.
They aren’t because they are capris and I don’t think they have a drawstring. I actually don’t use capris that often anymore (I used to wear them to teach) but maybe I will lift in them. That’s great that Harrison likes them so much! What kind of pants are they?
Every once in a while we do! I feel bad about that part too. I’d rather play with real toys, but the laser is easy for when I am feeling hella lazy.
I love having flexible work hours. It’s a nice perk to have!
Yes! It really is. I wonder if more companies have gone that way during the pandemic.
