Notes:
- On Sunday and Monday I felt so sore from my strength workout and long run – in a good way – like I challenged myself! It felt good to walk on Monday morning. I wore some new Baleaf leggings that a friend recommended for walking. I had ignored them when I saw them on Amazon since they said they were for yoga, but they were warm, comfy, and had side pockets. Maybe I should try them for running, even though they don’t have a drawstring. (Here is the link to them (select “A-black with pockets”), and here is a link to a pair I bought that says they are for running, but don’t have side pockets (they have a back pocket), and here are some really thin ones if you are just looking for a no-fleece legging).
- I had a slight bloody nose during both my Monday and Tuesday runs. ‘Tis the (dry) season.
- Oh my gosh. It was in the high 40s (and windy, but to be expected) for my Wednesday am run. I wasn’t even going to run that day but when it was between the 40s on Wednesday and the single digits on Thursday? I went with Wednesday! And I saw a rainbow! I don’t think I’ve ever seen one here in December before.
- I felt too lazy to do a long run this weekend (which is funny since I was so excited to run 10 miles this week but accidentally did last week…) so I ran 5 on Sunday. I listened to a podcast until it ended then turned on music for the last two miles and felt like I was flying! I rarely listen to music when I run anymore and it shows! Maybe I should do that a few times a week to run a bit faster.
Nice training week! Listening to music always put more speed into my runs, too!
It’s crazy how much of an effect it has!
