Notes:
- When I got up Tuesday morning it was 17°F and I just didn’t feel like running in that! Which is funny, I know, since that will seem warm in Jan/Feb. So I took a half day and ran when it was in the low 30s in the afternoon. The sun was out for part of my run and it felt great.
- My knee felt totally fine for all my runs this week, thankfully! I felt pretty good for all of them. On Sunday, I meant to run 9 miles and messed up my route and ran 10 and felt great. Yay!
- I did an intense lower leg workout Saturday morning and did my long run Sunday. NOT my smartest combo. I need to do legs earlier in the week!
- Bobbi and I met for a walk/rock hide on Saturday. I will keep saying this, but I am so glad it’s been nice enough out to meet friends to walk on snow-free (for now!) trails! I miss connecting with people in person so much and this helps (er, because it’s connecting with people in person, ha).
- I’m hoping to get more walks in next week! I felt really tired this week and tried to get more sleep on Monday and Wednesday mornings instead of walking. (And it’s just so dark and cold after work and I don’t feel like it! Hashtag wah.)
Glad to hear your knee is doing well…and yes to weather that is still okay for walks with friends!!! It makes such a difference to be able to get out and have a good long talk and a ramble. Ingrid and I went out yesterday…there were tons of other people out walking, too, and lots of mountain bikers, which meant the trails were super muddy. Oh well.
It really does! I am glad you and Ingrid could get out! It’s great to see so many people out so “late” in the year, right? Except those mountain bikers, LOL!
Love your morning shots! I haven’t been getting out to run in the mornings much anymore (because it stays dark so late and I start work early), but I can’t wait to get back to early morning runs!
Thanks! And ugh, I hear you! I usually start at 6:30 and am starting at 8:00 now, so I can run before and when the sun rises. I am ready for our early sunsets to come back!!!
