Friday
- A friend liking the gifts I sent for their birthday.
- Finishing a book I loved (All Adults Here).
- My latest Shitterfly magnet order arriving.
- Dinner from El Famous.
- Working on a puzzle and laughing at Tropic Thunder. That movie is so inappropriate but it really makes me laugh.
Saturday
- Listening to a backlog of podcasts during my run.
- Confirming the new rooftop cargo box fits on my car.
- Finally sorting through boxes in the basement and dropping some items off at Goodwill.
- A video chat with Gina and fam to discuss details of their October visit.
- Finishing my newest puzzle.
Sunday
- Sleeping in a bit.
- Breakfast sandwiches.
- Rearranging the magnets (to make room for future magnets!).
- Actually getting a few chores done and feeling productive. For once.
- Waiting for paint to dry in Dragonstone with Steven and laughing so hard at random cat videos I was crying.
- Pasta Alfredo for dinner.
Sounds like a great weekend! Love the magnets you had made of your cat comics. I didn’t notice them in the pic you sent me!! What a good idea! 🙂 Do you have the inspo pic as a magnet next to them?
Thank you! I did not! Steven suggested that too so I am adding them to my Shitterfly cart right meow so they are ready the next time you have a code <3
Mmmm, pasta Alfredo! I love the yoga cat puzzle!
It’s so good! I look forward to it every Sunday night!
It was a lot of fun. I liked how there were kind of mini puzzles inside of it. And it was really easy to sort by color. The purrfect puzzle for me!
I’m sure you’ve talked about this before, but what do you do with your completed puzzles? Do you save them, or just take a picture and then undo them?
Hooray for new magnets! The fridge in my new place isn’t magnetic (just the side, but most of that is hidden with the counter) so now I’ve got to figure out how to hang things on my fridge. Sticky tack, maybe? Womp.
Khali’s face in the pizza photo is all, “Where the f!&$ is the PIZZA?”
I usually take a picture of them, and let them sit for a day or two then take them apart. And I put them together again, but usually not right away.
Oh gosh. That stinks. Hmm. What material is it? I wonder if sticky tack would leave a mark. I wonder if there is a board of sometime you can hang over it to put things on!
Right?! Ha ha ha. I was joking with Steven about how when I brought that pizza home, Apollo and Starbuck both sat on it (while it was sitting on the foyer floor because I was bringing more groceries in) but Khali never had a chance, so he took that pic and sent it! LOL.
I knew you were into personalized magnets but wow, I’m impressed at the stacks you have! Looks like more that way vs when they’re on the refrigerator. Your fridge must look like a wallpaper of friends, loved ones, and fun memories – I love that!
Right? Those stacks were kind of nuts! And thanks, that is how it feels to me. Our guests always spend time looking at it!
Ha, when I first read this I mixed up a bunch of the letters in, “A video chat with Gina” and instead saw, “Avoiding a chat with Gina,” and I was like dang! That’s a bold and harsh thing to put on a blog! What you actually wrote makes so much more sense, hahaha!
Is Goodwill accepting donations normally right now? We’re planning to move…sometime in the next couple of months (we bought, and the place needs a little bit of work before we want to move in) and I know we’re going to have a ton of stuff to get rid of. Goodwill is my go-to, but I wasn’t sure with the pandemic if they were still taking things like usual. I hope so!
Totally unrelated to your post, but this article made me think of you: https://blockclubchicago.org/2020/09/29/liberation-donuts-brings-vegan-donuts-to-uptons-breakroom-in-west-town/?mc_cid=8f7a0f49d2&mc_eid=f4310e32bd. I’m not sure if there’s a paywall, but the gist of it is that there’s a new vegan donut place opening inside Upton’s Breakroom in the city, and they donate 50% of proceeds from the sale of one of their donuts to an animal-focused nonprofit. Seemed very relevant to your interests!
Ha! Ha ha ha ha! That is funny!
They are! At least in WI… but what isn’t open in WI? Congrats on your new place! Is it it he same area? What work do you have to do?
Thank you for sharing that! That sounds right up my alley and the donut in the pic looks AMAZING!!!
Thanks! Same-ish area – a couple towns away, but same general area of greater Chicagoland. We have a couple electric bells and whistles we want to add to the house (an induction stove to replace the gas stove, since I grew up with electric and find gas to be dangerous, noisy, smelly, and backwards, and wholeheartedly refuse to touch gas stoves; and electric car charging for my car), and the house didn’t have enough service to handle both. So up to 200 amp we go! Eventually. It has…not been a fast process thus far, ha. Granted, we haven’t owned the house that long, either, but we’re anxious to get in!
Awesome! LOL! I always think about you when I use our gas stove (which I love). I hope they can get the electrical work done soon so you can move in!!!
