A few highlights from the weekend!
Friday
- The rest of my Shitterfly magnets arriving. Here is the savings on those:
- Finding $6 on my walk.
- El Famous for dinner.
- Wine and whisky with our neighbors on their deck. We have talked to the husband a lot but had never met his wife, and had a great time chatting with them!
Saturday
- Steven making breakfast sandwiches.
- Running and feeling good!
- Grilling with Steven then having a chill day.
Sunday
- Catching up on podcasts while I worked out.
- Starbucks chai in my special tumbler.
- Eating lunch outside.
- Finishing a great sci-fi book.
- Getting closer to a decision on the exterior look for Dragonstone.
Lowlights
- Waking up with a massive headache at 2 am Saturday (probably from the wine).
- Trying to make avocado toast Sunday morning and getting frustrated the avocado wasn’t ready and throwing the whole thing away.
- Bouts of general frustration and pissy-ness.

I can understand that feeling of being frustrated by an avocado and throwing the whole thing away. And I’m guessing the general frustration is just a reaction to the job news? I find that I can let all of those little things get to me when I’m dealing with disappointing news like that. Stuff that normally wouldn’t bother me, but ooh, when I’m feeling emotional, those little things are THE DEVIL’S WORK.

Gah, yeah, that has got to be it! I feel unusually testy lately. Like, the soap drops out of my hand in the shower and I want to punch something or cry. I ran my leg in to the dishwasher this weekend and got so mad. Sigh.

Grrr to the frustrating avocado and wine headache – that sucks! But it sounds like the rest of the weekend was pretty good, considering… and your food looks delicious!!!

High five on saving more than you spent even before discounts on the photo magnets! Hahaha. Buying those magnets at full price must be SUCH a scam! They’ve got to still be making money even with all those discounts, right?! Insane.
Is Starbucks letting you BYO drink container again?? I know they stopped that early on in the pandemic. It’s been so long since I last went to Starbucks that my history in the app just shows “No recent transactions.” Womp. The last time I remember going was in I think December??? I hope they still like me enough to give me a free item for my birthday haha.
Yeah, they have got to still be making money. These things must cost pennies to make, right? I bet all their stuff does. LOL.
They are not, I just told them I didn’t need a lid and then poured it myself over by the garbage area. They gave me the 10 cent discount though! That is a LONG time! You will get that free drink if you are still a gold card holder 😉 What do you like to get there?
I actually usually get breakfast sandwiches, because typically if I’m going to Starbucks, it’s because I need a quick breakfast. Ham, Swiss, and egg is my favorite, but I more often get the bacon, Gouda and egg because it’s moderately healthier. On my birthday, though, I try to make the most of it and am much more likely to get something insanely indulgent like a Frappuccino 😀
Have we talked about how they have the Impossible breakfast sandwich now? So that’s now an option the next time you go.
I need to remember to get a Frappuccino sometime! I always go to my chai standby!
