A few highlights from the weekend!
Working on my resume isn’t really a “highlight” but I am proud of myself for working on it so diligently! I have it ready to send to my peers for review this week.
Friday
- Seeing a beautiful Saharan dust sunrise.
- Not getting caught in a bad storm during my run.
- Receiving new shorts (non running) and having them fit. I am between sizes with what I had at home (16s and 12s) so I ordered some new shorts from Kohl’s, just based on the images and inseam size, and they’re perfect, yay! Here’s the link.
- Working on my resume.
- Leftover Chinese food for lunch.
- A two hour nap.
- A present arriving from Xaarlin.
- An encouraging card arriving from Courtney.
- Getting one of our air conditioners replaced. Expensive, but needed. Now it will be very cool upstairs!
- Working on my resume some more.
- Yummy pasta for dinner and watching Dark Waters. Why is this movie rated so high on Rotten Tomatoes?!?! We were both extremely unimpressed.
- Seeing a beautiful Saharan dust sunset.
Saturday
- A book I’ve been waiting to read for a long time being available on Libby! (Open Book!)
- Feeling strong during a really muggy run.
- MORE RESUME WORK AFTER MY RUN! My brain. My poor brain.
- Guess what? Resume! In the afternoon.
- Talking to Mom on the phone.
- Watching Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). It was humorous and kept my interest! Definitely violent, but Chaitali had warned me about that.
Sunday
- Feeling great on my long run and running longer than planned.
- More work on… my resume!
- Grilling lunch with Steven.
- Completing the first draft of my resume.
- A video call with Mica and Harrison.
- Watching Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga. I’m so glad we talked to Mica and Harrison about it – Mica explained it and I don’t think we’d have had any idea what it was otherwise!
Lowlights
- Sweat dripping down my entire body like crazy as I helped Steven in the garage Saturday. YUCK! Summer is HERE!
I was just talking about the Saharan dust with my Korean teacher (who was affected in Texas). I had no idea that this was a thing, let alone that you got it where you are. At least it made for a beautiful sunset though.
JAJADINGDONG!
I didn’t know about it either until I read a (dun dun DUN!) CNN article about it last week. We just had the sunrise and sunset effect, not the noticeable dust in the air like Texas.
LOL! I really loved the Hometown song too!
Those sunrise and sunset photos are GORGEOUS!
So… did you end up working on your resume at all this weekend? 😉 So much resume work! But at least it’s in a good place to send out to people. Woop!
Thanks!
I did! I am surprised you picked up on that!!! 😉 Ha ha ha. Yes, and I am getting comments back and plan to work on it this week and weekend too.
