A few highlights from the weekend!

Ha, I realized after posting this that the first picture looks like improper face mask wearing! I was not wearing a buff then because I was around people – I was wearing it to keep snow off my face. I pull it over my nose when I approach people.

Friday

  • Doing my Saturday morning wake-up routine on Friday (get up, feed the cats, read, go back to bed for an hour).
  • Finishing my long run feeling really strong.
  • Aldi having our favorite kind of salad (they were out last week).
  • Finishing my burrito from Thursday night during lunch (photo above from Thursday night).
  • Taking a nap with Steven.
  • Watching The Beverly Hillbillies movie with Steven. (We watched Team America: World Police the night before – we were in the mood for silly, funny movies.)

Saturday

  • My heart filling with joy hearing how Gina’s local friends celebrated her 40th birthday while practicing social distancing (with a fun sign in the yard and a parade).
  • Getting a really sweet note from Luca saying I’m the best aunt in the world.
  • Napping with the kitties.
  • Finishing a book I enjoyed.

Sunday

  • Feeling great on my long run despite getting little sleep (the nap before was too late in the day!).
  • The cuticle trimmer I ordered arriving. Hopefully I will use that and quit picking at the skin around my nails.
  • Hanging out with Steven in the garage (he installed conduit on Saturday and did some wiring Sunday).
  • Vacuuming the entire house and tidying up. I enjoy cleaning and it felt good to get that done!

Lowlights

  • The long line at Starbucks. Ha. It was snowy and cold on Friday and a chai latte sounded soooo good. I drove by Starbucks on my way home from Aldi, but the line was too long and dangerous (going in to the street) to get in, so I drove home. That’s the normal there now and I do not NEED a chai but it sounded amazing and I was hopeful I could stop. There will be plenty more hot Starbucks chais on snowy cold days in my future!
  • Having a pressure headache on Saturday.
