A few highlights from the weekend!
Friday
- Feeling fantastic on my run before work.
- Starting season 3 of Homeland on lunch break.
- Receiving my virtual race items and more cookies in the mail.
- Gina texting me “landed!” as a joke. Ha, they were gonna be here this weekend and for a second I was like “sh*t we need to go pick them up at the airport!”
- Preparing a birthday present for a friend with things from around the house.
- A Zoom date with Xaarlin and Anne.
Saturday
- Feeling completely gassed from my strength workout.
- Talking to our newest neighbor. I was finishing my run and walked by him in his yard and he came over to the street to talk. It was fun to meet him! I enjoyed learning about him and his family and was amused by how much he knew about me from other neighbors.
- Cleaning the kitchen and dining room floors.
- Making peanut butter cookies.
- Starting a new book.
Sunday
- Realizing I ran my highest weekly mileage since last June. It was kind of an accident and I donβt plan to run that much next week, but yay!
- Finishing my run as Steven was finishing baking cinnamon rolls. Perfect timing!
- A Zoom chat with Efit friends.
- A Hangouts video chat with Mica and Harrison.
- A Facebook video chat with Jen and Troy.
- A Facebook video chat with my snister and her family, and Mom and Dad, and Grandma.
Lowlights
- Getting the hiccups four times Sunday, including during my run. Ouch!
That’s a lot of video chats – must have felt really good to see so many friends and family. π And wowza on your weekly mileage! Glad the running is feeling so good for you.
We made cinnamon rolls on Sunday, yum. Of course now I want peanut butter cookies but luckily we only have peanut butter in the house right now which is good because I need to rein it in a bit, LOL. #quarantine15
It was! Only two of them were planned and two were spontaneous! I was so tired Sunday night, ha!
Thanks! π
Yum! Homemade or from the can (or the bakery?)? Delicious all ways!
Ha, I was joking with my snis about the #quarantine15 and she said she’s gaining the COVID19! LOL! I feel like I finally got my snacking under control last week. Only took four weeks, nbd.
Canned. Not even ashamed – I love me some Pillsbury cinnamon rolls!
COVID19 – that’s clever!
Yes! I love the canned ones we get too!
I thought so, ha!
Oh my – Khali’s looking pretty blue steel in that photo above! Get it, guuuuurl.
Giggled at the “landed!” text – nice joke there!
So many video chats on Sunday! That must have filled up your cup. π Video chats are saving my soul right now. I miss people!!!
Ha – I was going to post that on Instagram and say “Khali is doing Blue Steel”! Ha ha ha! Great minds π
It was! I wonder if she planned that or just thought of it in the moment.
Yes, my cup was very full! The calls are so nice to have! I am glad you are doing them too! (Although I do really just want one day where I read in bed all day and don’t talk to anyone, ha)
Sounds like a nice weekend! It’s nice that you know all of your neighbors so well. I hope we can get familiar with ours whenever this BS is over! π Our neighbor that we have met dropped off an Easter egg for both boys with a little stuffed toy inside! It was so sweet. π
We really like most of our neighbors and get a lot of joy from our time with them (which is so v v v different from our old place)! I hope you can do the same! <3 That is really sweet they dropped those off!!!
Sounds like you got in a lot of social time, nice! The cinnamon rolls and cookies sound delicious π
We sure did! It was nice to see everyone!
They were! Now they are all gone, womp π ha
