- I did my first ever Instagram story last week to ask people if I should get fries or guac with my burrito. Ha, I had to google how to do EVERYTHING with Stories, then I forgot to share the poll results. Oops. (Guac was the overwhelming winner! I almost always get fries, but guac sounded good! I got both and the guac was amazing).
- Our neighbor’s daughter (these are the neighbors we took El Famous to last week (they loved it!)) sent us the sweetest card. It made my day!
- Our newest neighbor roasts his own coffee beans and he brought some over for Steven this week! We talked for a long time and showed him the garage. He’s really nice and I hope our families can get together in the future.
- When the cats are about to fight, they usually begin by “blessing” each other – putting their paws on each other’s foreheads. I saw Apollo bless Khali in bed last weekend and was certain a fight was about to break out, but apparently he just wanted to sleep with his paw there. Aww.
- My mood has been decent while we’ve been on our stay-at-home order but I seem to have one day each week where I’m in a sh*t mood and that day was Wednesday this week. I hope that’s the only one!
- In celebration of World Book Day, Amazon has nine FREE Kindle books from around the world, here, until the end of the day tomorrow, the 24th! I downloaded a few of them!

Lol so funny that the kitties do that. I love that you call it “blessing” each other hahahaa.
I still haven’t used my Kindle credits!! I need to pick something good!
Hee hee. We always laugh when they bless each other! (and stop whatever we are doing to watch the fight!)
Are they digital credits you could use on music or a movie, too? Or specifically to Kindle? π Did you get that series you wanted?!
What a sweet card form your neighbor’s daughter! And that’s great that you’ve been helping them with groceries. Thanks for the tip on the free books!
It was the sweetest and so thoughtful! π
You are welcome! I can vouch that The Price of Paradise is good so far!
I LOLd a little at you googling how to do an IG story. I was surprised to see one from you! Do you think you’ll post more? Also do you remember that I did my first story from your kitchen???
That’s so nice of you to help your neighbors! Living far from your parents, I know you get how hard it is to NOT be there to help them now, so it’s nice of you to take care of someone else’s parents π
Awww the kitties π
Laugh away!!! I don’t think I will use Stories much, but it was fun! I do remember that! <3
And I am so glad to check in on them and see when I can help! We love having them as neighbors π
What a lovely card from your neighbor’s daughter!
It really was! I think it will be out on our counter for a long time! <3
Okay, but I need to know, how long did it take you to find the results of your poll?? Every time I do a poll, it takes me FOREVER to remember where to find the results, hahaha. Nowadays, I’m only using IG stories for videos of the cats and books, meh. I used to be a lot more active on it, but I just haven’t felt like using it much.
That card made me tear up! What a sweet gesture, and she must feel so grateful to have someone like you next door to watch out for her parents. Has to be so difficult being far away from them!
I hope Thursday and Friday have been better for you than Wednesday was! <3
I had to google that too! So once I did I remembered where to find them. It’s not intuitive! Honestly, Stories seems like a lot of extra work!
Wasn’t it so sweet?! It made me tear up a bit too when I got it. I am glad we are giving her a bit of comfort by checking in on them!
They were! Thank you!!! <3
What a nice card! That was so thoughtful of her! Also, for whatever reason I initially thought the daughter was like, seven, and I was like, “That’s really good handwriting! Did her mom write the card for her? Wait…how does she work in a pharmacy?” Hahahaha. Also, how cool that one of your other neighbor roasts their own coffee beans – it sounds like you have some good neighbors in general!
It really was!
Ha, whatever her age is, her handwriting is FABULOUS. For some reason, whenever I write a letter or card, mine gets pretty crazy (I blame it on all the monitors and crap taking up so much space on my desk leaving little writing space…).
We do! I am grateful for that! Have you met any of yours?
Kind of, but not in the literal next door sense. Our complex actually does a lot of social events (or did a lot of social events, when those were a thing you could do π ), and we befriended two couples that way, though neither one lives in our building. We say hi when we see each other in the parking lot, though! One of them is actually the sister of a girl who was in my CARA group last summer – super small world!
Oh cool! That’s awesome they made an effort to have those events and you went and met some cool people. I hope the events can start up again someday soon. Is the sister a runner too or no?
She is not, but the girl in the other couple is! She’s way faster than I am (she’s BQed), but she’s talked about running together some time – maybe after that’s allowed again!
Yay! Potential new running bud!
OMG. I saw another runner ON. MY. STREET. which never happens! I hope I see her when I am running sometime and can say hi!
