Notes:
- I am really enjoying Mondays being rest days but I feel sluggish and a bit cranky when I don’t work out!
- Related, I didn’t sleep well this week, so when I did work out on work days, it was after work or at lunch instead of before work, and that also makes me cranky. Eek.
- I actually wore shoes for my second strength workout of the week and lo and behold it made a world of difference for the plank work. I should probably always be wearing shoes when I lift weights… (I wore shoes on my third strength workout too).
- I can tell the speedwork is paying off – I am running faster on runs, but it feels like the same effort as before. Yay!
- I felt really strong on my short long run and long long run this week. I had my first long long run (over 10 miles) under 12:00 min average pace since March 7th. Yay!
- RAGBRAI said they are making a “decision” tomorrow about the event. I am curious to see what they decide!
I always wear shoes when doing weights – I am afraid of dropping something on my feet!
Did not know what a sun dog was, but looked it up – interesting! I will look for them now!
Yeah, that is what I should have been doing for that reason!!!
I hope you get to see one!
Feeling strong while running is the best thing, isn’t it? I used to a few sprints during/after a run BACK IN THE DAY, and I was wondering when it would be a good time to try them again. Probably not until I can run for 30 seconds without dying? LOL
It is! And you know what, I think what you are doing now probably FEELS like sprints to your body (and maybe to your mind, too), since it’s a run/walk effort! You’re working hard and it’s going to pay off! I hope you feel better at that 30 second mark soon!
