Notes:

  • So, I’ve learned doing speedwork as the first workout of the week is amazing because you get it out of the way right away. Who knew?! (Only everyone who does “track Tuesdays” or “Tempo Tuesdays,” ha.) I’m liking the schedule I have now – speedwork Tuesdays, midweek long run, hills Saturday, long run Sunday.
  • I was really tempted to bump back up to 6 runs this week instead of the 5 I’ve been doing, but I’ve also been increasing my mileage, so I didn’t – I’d rather focus on that right now.
  • I wonder if RAGBRAI will happen in July. As of right now, they haven’t canceled it. The only change they’ve made is to extend registration and refund deadlines.
  • Monthly recap! In March I ran 155.4 miles (21 runs) – that’s my highest mileage month since last July, woot! I did 3 hill repeat sessions and 3 speed sessions. My coldest run was 22°F and my warmest was 59°F. I taught 4 strength classes and 1 fitness boxing class. I did 5 strength workouts at home (the studio temporarily closed on 3/15/20 due to COVID-19). I ran one race, the Publix Atlanta Half Marathon. I’m so grateful that race was not canceled and I got to do it.
