A few highlights from the weekend!
Friday
- Having the day off and not having to get up at 3:50 am to teach. I’m sad the studio is closed, and I miss seeing my friends, but it was nice trying to sleep later (Apollo started waking us up before 3:00 am).
- My Shitterfly order arriving less than a week after I ordered it. I ordered some 3×3 magnets on Saturday, and they arrived Thursday.
- Finally getting paid the overtime I worked on Saturday February 8th. It should have been on my 2/21 paycheck, then my 3/3 one, but there was a systems error. Yay for it finally working.
- Listening to two fun interviews on the Ali on the Run show during my run, and deciding to order from Jacqueline Alnes’s etsy shop!
- Thinking I was going upstairs to read then taking a two hour nap with the cats.
- Doing a virtual happy hour at 5:00 pm.
- Video chatting with my family after.
- Watching Contagion with Steven (definitely don’t watch if you’re feeling super anxious right now).
Saturday
- Going back to bed after the cats woke us up too early.
- Running with Bobbi.
- Deciding to postpone garage work to Sunday and chilling with Steven. We watched The Adjustment Bureau, made banana muffins, then he watched a video and I read.
Sunday
- Having enough time to get a long run in, take a long lunch, do some garage work, and chill, all before dinner!
- A call from my father-in-law to see how I was doing.
Lowlights
- Not going on my planned trip to Iowa to see my grandmas and family, but duh, that’s a horrible idea right now!
Sorry that you had to miss your trip but that makes sense to postpone for now. Still disappointing, I’m sure. That’s great that you were able to do a virtual happy hour! We did that last week as well and it turned out to be a pretty good way to socialize for now. We’re planning on trying it again this week.
Yeah, it totally makes sense! I hope I can see them this summer!
Did you use Zoom or something else? I like how you can see everyone at once on Zoom – I usually use Hangouts and don’t know if that’s a feature there.
I laughed when I saw that Contagion was one of the top 10 movies watched last week…but no, I won’t be watching that one, we are living it!
All of the naps and longer sleeping time is probably really good for a lot of people – kind of resetting/forcing your body to recharge.
Yay for the magnets arriving so quickly! I always giggle at your renaming of Shutterfly.
It looks like we are going to have to postpone our vacation to Universal Studios, sigh. Even if they open before we’re scheduled to go, I’m not sure it’s a good idea to mingle with crowds, especially after being so careful to self isolate all this time.
Yeah, Contagion is definitely NOT light-hearted, and it’s eerie how many of the same terms are used. Seems like they really did their research for the film!
Yes! I think it’s good to be home and rest and not be so on the go!
I was excited to get them and mail out to a few people. I hope that cheers them up! I am glad my renaming makes you giggle 😉
Ugh, was it in May? Or June? That totally sucks but definitely makes sense 🙁
First week of May. I don’t think it’s gonna happen – do you? Would you go if they reopened say, a couple of weeks beforehand?
I don’t think it’s going to happen and I would not go either. May still seems too soon, especially the first week. 🙁
That sounds like a pretty solid weekend! Would you recommend “The Adjustment Bureau”?
I’m glad you get some extra sleep time (Well, maybe not, if Apollo is getting you up early still!). 3:30 is quite early! What time do you go to bed?
Yeah, it’s decent and a neat concept! The chemistry between Matt Damon and Emily Blunt is great. Is streaming on HBO Now if you have it!
I am usually lying in bed reading by 9:00 and fall asleep between 9:30 – 10:00 🙂 3:30 is too early!
