I had this list drafted and ready to go and haven’t got around to publishing it until now. Better late than never!
Here’s what I’m excited about in March!
- Running the Publix Atlanta Half Marathon (also mentioned in February’s list, and already completed!)
- More daylight in the evening after we get back on DST…? I’m conflicted here – I really like waking up with the sun, and am sad it’ll be so dark in the mornings again.
- Seeing Foreigner with Rachel, her husband, and Steven
- A trip to Iowa to see my grandmas (and immediate family!)
- The RAGBRAI full courses being published
- Attending an Olympics lecture with speaker Jackie Joyner-Kersee
- Training for the Milwaukee Half Marathon in April. I am going to do more long runs over ten miles!
Whatβs on your list?
Sounds like you have a full March! Those all sound like a lot of fun. The thing I’m most looking forward to in March is that Mike and I are having a little staycation for our anniversary with a hotel and show tickets and reservations for restaurants I’ve been wanting to try for a while π
That is going to be so fun! When is it?!
The 14th, so next weekend π
Yay! Only a week away!
Gimme nighttime daylight hours or gimme death. That’s the saying, right? π I LOOOOOVE DST and I am so looking forward to it! It’s always an adjustment to get used to darker mornings but I much prefer that then it getting dark by 5:30!
I’m also looking forward to a weekend away with friends, doing this pet painting event with my mom, and bowling with my team at work. A fun month it should be!
Ha, yes! I think it is! I wish we would just stay on DST so we didn’t have to go through this twice a year π
You have a fun month ahead! Is this a book club get away?
You are on an Olympics roll! And I love seeing you getting back into racing again – you are such a strong runner. I know you bonked a bit in your last half but girlllll, you needed some fuel during that race. I think hitting 10 miles in training is fine as long as you do it more than once before the race. Please take advice from someone who hasn’t run in a year, LOL. π
I have been thinking I needed more fuel during the race too. I took a gel every 40 mins, but I am thinking I need more than 100 calories every 40 mins. I was planning to mention that in my training recap! Aliphine mentioned taking two gels twice on the course and I was like, maybe I need more than one!
