- The page-a-day daily text tradition continues! Almost every day for the last four years, I’ve text Steven and Mom an image of my page-a-day calendar. It’s a fun little thing that sometimes teaches us something and sometimes sparks conversation. In 2016 and 2017 we did quotes, 2018 was the Liz Climo cartoons, 2019 was a historical “On this Day,” and 2020 is “365 New-Words-A-Year.” Today’s reminds me of our one ski trip, in 2009.
- I’ve been complaining about work being crazy busy forever, and it was finally quiet for a bit around the holidays! Yay! Much appreciated! I got a lot of filing done, and took some online training.
- During my mani/pedi appointment last Saturday, it dawned on me that my nail technician is the female I spend the most one-on-one time with, since I have appointments with her every two to three weeks. Steven and I tend to go out on couples dates, and I don’t have anyone I run with one-on-one. And that is okay! Just something that popped in to my head.
I did glitter nails the entire month of December <— insert three heart eye emojis!
- I was so meh about Christmas this year that I never put my favorite holiday music on my phone (example: Pentatonix and Sia albums). I did listen to the Christmas radio station in the car, in the house, and when working on the garage, but now I am feeling kind of sad I never heard some of my favorite songs that those stations don’t play. I’m putting a reminder in my calendar to put that music on my phone on November 1st! (Ha, I just checked and I apparently have a recurring calendar appointment to do that already…)
I just ordered my page-a-day calendar! I did the 365 cats one because that’s the person I’ve turned into. HA. 😉
I had Sunday Scaries about work for the first time in a super long time. I’m hoping it’s just the idea of getting back to a normal routine/not having days off in the middle of the week like the last two weeks. Really hoping I’m not going to start having anxiety about work!
I rarely listened to Christmas music this year, too, which makes me sad because I love it so much! And I only watched one Christmas movie. It was a weird holiday season!
Yassssssssssssss. Send me pics of the cutest ones! Or just pics of your girls since they’re the cutest.
I hope that it just it too. I saw lots of people posting about their anxiety at going back to work yesterday, and it totally makes sense, since we’ve had the weirdest schedule ever with our Wednesday holidays! I hope you feel good when you get back in the groove. I bet it will be a rough week though! I combated it this am by asking for some leave for the next few months. Ha.
I didn’t watch my fave xmas movie or many either!!!! Did you watch Elf?
