I’m not a “new year” goal maker, but there are a few things I want to make happen in 2020, and thought about them a lot on my run this morning… so why not share here?! Ha.
Run photo!
Relationships
- Go on a trip with Steven to someplace new-to-us
- Play with the cats more
- Continue to remember everyone has different communication styles and preferences – and I don’t need to understand or agree with them to accept them
Home
- FINISH THE GARAGE!
- Bring the Datsun home!
- Sort through items that have been in storage boxes in basement since we moved in in February 2016
Money
- Continue to put money in to savings
- Spend less at Bath & Body Works and Starbucks
- Find a new affordable way to get custom 2×3 magnets
Fitness
- Run in a new-to-me state
- Run a race with a friend
- Get back to making playlists for my classes
Beauty
- Find a lipstick that looks nice on me and wear it
- Get regular haircuts
- Learn to style my hair
Reading
- Read a Harry Potter book
- Read a Stephen King book
- Read 50 books (I’m at 58 for 2019!)
Work
- Apply for the supervisor role
- Lean on my teams for support
- Quit being so snarky and whiny
I think the least likely things that I will accomplish is learning how to style my hair and being less snarky and whiny… but I am gonna try!
Shouldn’t you rebrand this post as your “2020 bucket list?” Lol
I’m excited to hear more about how you’ll accomplish these tangible goals-Like where you and S will travel to, which new state to run in and how you’ll decide which lipstick is the best for you. But I’m more excited for your work goals 🙂 happy 2020!
Ha. If it was a bucket list – as in things I want to do before I die – it would be much cooler (I hope).
You know which new state I will run in! I am planning to go to Sephora and ask them for help with the lipstick. And thanks re: work. Fingers crossed I at least get an interview. It’s kind of tricky to fill out the paperwork to even get one.
OH lord. I have been researching easy updos and hairstyles, so I can do something besides a ponytail once in a while. Apparently my idea of easy is much different than that of the people who post tutorials or articles about hairdos! They have been one fail after another so far. If I find some that actually work (and are easy), I will pass them along!
Please do! I think my problem is I don’t want to spend a lot of time on it, and all those tutorials take a lot of time, right?
I’m excited for you to read Harry Potter and hear what you think of it!
Do you have any states in mind for your new-to-you running state?
Thanks! Steven got me Kindle Unlimited and the whole series is on there so I added the first one to my Kindle! A few people have warned me that the first one is a more for kids and to be patient.
Georgia! I’ll be there for the trials and am doing the half the next day 🙂
I hear you about playing with your cats more! I keep telling myself I need to do this. Every now and then, I’ll bring out my tiny laser and let them go crazy for a little bit. I also had a bunch of those teaser toys but they kept finding out where I hid them, haha, so now they just play with them on their own.
Being less snarky would never work for me, although there are times when I wish I could be! Haha. I’m also working on my whining because I’ve seen how annoying it is when I’m around someone who just complains, complains, complains. There’s a time and place, but I don’t want to be known as someone who is always complaining and never satisfied!
Ha! Time to find some new hiding spots! I feel like I need to play with them more with their ribbons and feathers and things that get them moving a lot around the house. But that means I have to get up… lol.
Exactly! I don’t want to be known as that as well. Or as someone who doesn’t know when to stop complaining and get to work!
P.S. Your pretty xmas day pic inspired me to find lipstick for myself!
