• One of my favorite podcasts, The Popcast, asked for listener holiday card submissions for them to dump on (their show format is being snarky about pop culture and life). I sent ours, thinking there was NO WAY they would dump on it because it’s so normal, but it was the first one they dumped on (1:34 in video)!!!! Knox said “Thoughts and prayers for the *****s because they’re Royals fans and the Royals ugh, that’s a tough hang. You have three cats too many. We know that.” Ha ha ha ha. Seeing that made me laugh so hard. I feel honored they chose us to make fun of!!!

  • Things that cause pain since I fell last week: getting dressed and undressed (especially shoes and pants), trying to move in bed, picking up a cat, wrapping presents, standing for too long, and SNEEZING. Sneezing causes the most pain. I usually sneeze in multiples without a ton of warning but it’s like my body knows how much that hurts and I’ve had single sneezes I’ve been able to thwart, thankfully. It’s concerning I can’t lift more than 8 pounds without pain, but I’m getting better each day and I bet that will soon too. Teaching class tomorrow morning will be interesting…
  • We’ve been trying to watch Outlander… is this show just a back and forth of Claire or Jamie getting captured and one of them rescuing the other? Or does that change in season 2? We watched the first season and episode one of season 2, but, meh. Great acting and sets and all that but it’s not holding my interest.
  • Usually when what we’re watching doesn’t hold my interest I play on my phone, but I started doing puzzles instead. And it’s like I get to do them twice, because the cats take a little bit of them apart each night.

  • Puzzle question – are you better at matching by the pattern on the piece or the shape of the piece? I go by pattern so when I have a puzzle that’s a huge area of the same color, I call in reinforcements (Steven).
