My brain hasn’t registered that it’s November, so I forgot to make my “things I’m excited about” list! Until now. Here we go:
- Spending time with friends when they help us with the garage
- Dad coming to help with the garage again
- Checking in on Bobbi’s cats while she’s out of town
- Having time to read while commuting by train and plane
- Seeing Terminator: Dark Fate and Ford v Ferrari
- Two long weekends – this upcoming one, and Thanksgiving. I only get federal holidays off work, so I usually don’t get Black Friday off, but Thanksgiving is so late this year, it lines up with my Friday I have off as part of my alternative work schedule (that allows me to have every other Friday off). Yay.
- Getting our Christmas tree (or maybe that will happen early December?!). I can’t wait to see what the kittens think!
- The month being over – work is going to be freaking bonkers this month. As much as I hate to say I am looking forward to a thing being over, eh, I look forward to things be over ALL. THE. TIME. So yeah, I will be relieved when this work month is behind me.
What’s on your list?
I’m kind of surprised that the Friday after Thanksgiving isn’t a federal holiday, given how many places are closed that day anyway. Though that’s also how I feel about the week between Christmas and New Year’s (that it should be a holiday because so many people take it off anyway). If only I got to make the federal holiday calendar! Ha. I’m glad you’ll end up with Friday off this year, at least! I feel like that’s got to make celebrating Thanksgiving a little more relaxed, knowing you have the next day off.
Ha, if only you did! I think we’d have a lot more days off 😉 (related: it sucks Christmas is on a Wednesday this year. We will be celebrating it the weekend before.)
Yeah, it will be nice! Plus, my boss where I teach said he wants to each my 5:00 am class that Friday so I can sleep in, which will be amazing!
We have so much going on in November – fun stuff, all of it – that I’m already putting my brain into December. I just saw a preview for Ford vs Ferrari and it looks great, how fun that you’ve got plans to see ing.
Aww, that is good! What do you guys have going on?
My dad spoiled it for me though! Ha, I told him about the movie and he told me who won 😉 I still got tickets though!
I’m so curious how my cats will react to my Christmas tree! Last year, I only had Eloise and I got her on Dec. 8th, so she was still a bit shy. I have a feeling they’re going to destroy it because they are both a little naughty! 😉 But I’m still going to put it up and see how it goes.
I’m glad you get Black Friday off this year! My mom’s work just changed their days off schedule so they have to work every Black Friday now (and they don’t get all federal holidays off!) and I think it’s SO dumb. Last year, there was NOBODY in the office because so many people requested it off. Ugh.
Oh yes, I bet they will go bonkers for the tree and it will be so fun!!! Data always like to hang underneath the tree (and do naughty poops on the tree skirt GRRR) but I bet the kittens will be in to climbing and batting.
Oh wow! That is dumb. Especially when the ENTIRE office requests if off. I am sorry that happened to her 🙁
Do you think S&A will try to climb the tree? Will you have to take any precautions?
H is also really excited about “Ford vs. Ferrari.” We went to see “Jojo Rabbit” last weekend, and of all the trailers that played, that was the only one we were interested in.
Oh yes they will! It will be very amusing. I will just hope they don’t fall. Ha. 😉
The trailer looks good! I hope it’s not lame. We are seeing it in a week on Tuesday! Will you guys see it in the theater?
