Notes:

  • On Monday I had time to run but chose not to because it was in the mid 80s with a 70° dew point. So over it. Great attitude, right?!
  • But I did take some leave Tuesday morning so I could start my month off with a longer run! I wasn’t sure what was more annoying – the temperature or the mosquitoes. Hopefully that’s my warmest run of the month!
  • I wasn’t planning to do a double run Wednesday, but the cats woke me up really early, so I ran before I caught the train, and on lunch break. Thanks, a-hole cats!
  • We got a bit of rain Wednesday, and when I set out to run Thursday, the road I wanted to run on was flooded. Why do I always try to run there after a storm? Will I ever learn? I don’t have a lot of safe options to run on during commuting time out here, and was annoyed to have to run on one of the busier streets for a bit.
  • And on to less whiny notes – my runs on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday were all in gloriously cool weather that required me to wear arm warmers! WOO HOO!!! I really enjoyed them.
  • I was in Iowa this weekend and was hoping to run with Dad, but didn’t even bring it up – we were all way too busy. It turns out he’s coming to our house this week to help with the garage, so maybe we’ll have a chance? I would love that!
  • Monthly recap! In September I ran 113.5 miles (19 runs). My coldest run was 53°F and my warmest was 84°F. I taught 9 strength classes, and 1 fitness boxing class.
