Today is one of those amazing and rare days where I have ZERO obligations*! Ahhh, how relaxing! It’s the best feeling to wake up and now I can take the day at whatever pace I want! I hope many of you are having a similar Labor Day!
Here is what I am looking forward to in September!
- Our 12th wedding anniversary (it was yesterday, and we had dinner out to celebrate)!
- Seeing ZZ Top (& Cheap Trick) with Bobbi!
- Garage construction kicking off
- A solo weekend while Steven is out of town with friends
- Running more than August
- Hints of cooler weather
- Reading – there are so many books I want to read AHHHHHHHHHHHH
- Getting closer to my work detail ending – I’m not thriving in it while still holding my full work load and need a breather
- Seeing The Goldfinch, Downton Abbey, and Brittany Runs a Marathon movies
- Following the start of the IAAF World Athletics Championships in Doha
What’s on your list?
*Although right as I was about to post this my dad texted that they’ll be at a museum nearby at 1:00 if I want to join them. That does sound fun!!!
My Labor Day has been similar – no plans and I’ve been SUPER lazy, haha. I love it!
My September is going to be crazy with four birthdays to celebrate, a good friend’s baby shower, a book signing, and a pool party. And football starting! My calendar is making me a bit anxious as it will be a BUSY month but hopefully one filled with lots of memories and fun!
It’s so great!
Oh wow! That is busy but will be a lot of fun. Do you have to get gifts for all these birthdays?!
Great you guys did something fun to celebrate your anniversary! Cute picture, too!
And…you went to the museum, right?
Thanks 🙂
We didn’t go! It didn’t jive with my plans of being lazy at home (or an appointment Steven had in the afternoon).
I totally forgot that The Goldfinch comes out this month!! I hope I’ll have time to go see it. I also hope the movie doesn’t take nearly as long to watch as the book took to read, haha.
OMG, right? Gah. Two hours would be FINE.
Happy Anniversary! Now that you’re over a decade, do the years seem like they’re going by quicker?
Tomorrow is my zero obligation day and I am looking forward to doing things I want to (like suss out my yarn situation) vs all the normal stuff.
I can’t wait for the running movie to come our way – I’ll see if I can rustle up some running friends to go see it with me.
Thank you! They do! I was just thinking about how fast the past year went! (Especially for one where I didn’t do much!)
Yay!!!! What is going on with your yarn?! Seeing what you need to order?
Do you have Prime? The movie is going to be on there in 2019! (I looked up theaters around me that have it and they are too far away!) It would be fun to go with running friends. We did that with the Hood to Coast movie.
