I’ve already blamed listening to podcasts for my slower running (hee hee) and now I have another thing to blame on them – that I haven’t been creating playlists for my weekly strength classes for a few months.
I used to spend a lot more time listening to music while I run, and that encouraged me to look at new music weekly (to add to my new tunes playlist), as well as sparked ideas for playlists using new and old music.
But now I hardly listen to music while I run because I listen to more podcasts than I used to, so I’m not thinking about music as much. And in the car, I am mostly jamming to classic rock and sometimes throwbacks so I don’t even know what’s new out there! The last song I downloaded new was probably “Old Town Road.”
I did borrow these from the library to see if they’d get me going again…
… but I kind of doubt it, because the other reason I am not working on playlists and looking at new music as much is because by the time I get done with my work day I don’t want to spend ANY more time on my computer. And I kind of avoid my computer on the weekends.
Eh, I’ll get back to it at some point!
As a private client at my gym (oooh sounds so fancy, doesn’t it?) I can choose whatever music to play during my session. I usually go for 70s rock, but I’m dying to throw something totally different (that I like) as a request and see if he has it on his multitude of playlists. Thinking Beach Boys…that can’t be a popular request here in Texas, don’t you think?
Anyway, use a really old playlist for your classes – I bet it’ll be fun for them.
You are so fancy! That is cool they let you pick the music! Are they using a streaming service for those? I love the Beach Boys.
I should! I have so many old ones archived!
This makes me so happy π π π What are your thoughts on the albums?? I have both of them, of course, though Happiness Begins has been getting a lot more play lately than Lover, naturally.
I haven’t listened to either yet, but I bet I will like them! I keep hearing rave reviews of Lover!
