- I finished Ask Again, Yes. What an interesting story with such well developed and thought through characters. The premise is that two cops live next to each other with their wives and children, and something happens between the two families that changes the future for all of them. I don’t want to spoil anything, but I definitely recommend it.
- Apparently Jimmy Fallon does a Summer Reads program and they picked Ask Again, Yes as their summer book! I hope I see some chatter about it on his social media!
- Now I’m reading Travels with Rachel, which was a gift, from the same person who got me the one of the author’s other books, Not Tonight, Josephine, which was enjoyable and hilarious. So far I’ve had many laugh-out-loud moments reading Travels with Rachel!
- I have an exciting reading update – I received a Kindle Paperwhite for my birthday! It’s going to be so much easier to read when I travel and commute now. I figured out how to borrow books electronically from the library and have my first one on there, ready to read (after I finish Travels with Rachel and City of Girls)!
- Oops, I didn’t mean for this to turn in to “look what I got,” but, here we are. I asked for some compression travel bags, and was able to use them on our trip to the river and they’re fabulous! You put everything in the bag, seal it, roll it, and the air goes out the valves at the end and voila – your clothes take up less space in your bag!
- This week my company sent out correspondence style (basically, grammar) and instructions on how to write a concise email and I am all HEART EYE EMOJI. I hope EVERYONE reads it. Ha. Ha ha ha. Sigh.

I. Love. Compression. Bags. Seriously, they are life-changing when you’re trying to pack enough clothing into a small suitcase or bag.
I keep hearing about Ask Again, Yes…it’s going on my list. I sort of want a Kindle because of how lightweight it is vs using an iPad with the Kindle app, plus I believe you can get the screen less white when reading in the dark? Let us know what you think of it!
THEY ARE! I am so glad you have them and I can share my joy in just now starting to use them. I feel like I need to tell the world about them 🙂 I can tell they are going to be a LIFE CHANGER in packing.
Yes, read it! Then talk to me about it. My friend said you can do that with the screen with the Kindle and it’s super light. It’s nice you can use the iPad for that! I never thought of that!
You’ll love the kindl. I have a really old one. I really like that if there are books I love I can buy them and not have them take up tons of room. You also can beat having a mini library to read from on a trip
Yeah, I am thinking fiction I want to read more than once would be great to keep on the Kindle!!! And good point – I can get books from the library WHILE ON vacation now!!!! 😮
I was just looking for something new to read last night (on my Kindle paperwhite) and came across Not Tonight, Josephine. It was available to borrow from the Kindle Owners Lending Library. I think I’ll borrow it now!
Also, I still haven’t figured out how to borrow from the library yet. Do you need to plug it into your computer to transfer the book or what?
Cool! I bet you’ll like it. He’s such a funny guy.
Mine has the wifi set up so it transferred the book immediately after I checked out on Digital Library through Amazon!
I’m so happy you have a Kindle now! Sign up for Bookbub.com if you’re not already subscribed – they’ll send you daily emails about cheap ebooks! I lovvvve my Kindle although I still read a decent amount of print books. I like having the option, though!
Cool, I didn’t know about Bookbub – I will check it out!
I am excited about being able to tap on a word to look up its definition 🙂
Just put a hold on Ask Again, Yes! Your review intrigues me. There’s a 21-week waitlist, so I’ll have PLENTY of time to get through all my other reading before then, hahaha. (I was just going to put a tag on it to remind myself to check it out later, but I figured if I’m not going to get it for like five months anyway, I may as well just put it on hold now, ha)
Did you read Little Fires Everywhere? I can’t recall but I think you did? I felt like the characters are so well developed in both of those.
Now that I am in Libby/whatever the Illinois library is called, I can see those long wait lists! I hope you have time to read it in 21 weeks! 🙂
