I love tacos, don’t get me wrong, but my heart 100% belongs to burritos. Always has, always will.
So when I saw this toy at the party store this weekend I was all CAT MAKING HOME ALONE FACE! (Or maybe HUMAN MAKING HOME ALONE FACE? That makes more sense…)
It’s one of those blind-box inspired toys where you don’t know which one you are going to get (spend MORE MORE MORE to collect them all!). You unroll the burrito “shell” and tin foil “wrapper” and there is a little stuffed animal inside – either a puppito, catito, slothito, pigito, bunnito, bearito or monkito, and it has a stamp on its bum for mild, medium, hot, or super spicy! Ha.
Steven saw me looking at it and said “You don’t need that.” True! I don’t. I loved stuffed animals but have plenty.
But you know who I could get it for? My nephew that I am seeing this weekend!
I was texting with my snis last night and told her “I got this fun toy for William I wanted to get myself.”
She asked what it was so I sent a picture and explained it, and she responded with:
Ha. Ha ha ha.
And yes, my tortilla banket:
Ha, when I read “tortilla,” I pronounce it “tor-til-la” in my head, even though I know it’s “tor-tee-ya.” I blame Napoleon Dynamite for the inspiration for the mispronunciation.
My snis knows me well. I suppose this means we’ll have to have burritos when we’re together this weekend! And Thai. We always have Thai when we’re together.
And I will definitely report back on which Cutetito William gets. I know you’re dying to find out!
I AM dying to find out! Those surprise toys get me, which is why I have a lot of Lego minifigs, LOL. Wait…did you say you got it for William? You are a good Aunt. I might be a good Grandmother (aunt stage has passed, they are all adults now), or a bad Grandmother. No no, those are Grannie’s toys, don’t touch! LOL
Ha! I will let you know which one I, I mean, William, gets! 😉
So the grandkids won’t get to touch your Funko collection?!
I dunno, it looks too much like you’re supposed to EAT the Cutetito for me to be entirely comfortable with this marketing scheme 😉
Ha ha ha! The package is very realistically sized too – but is obviously plush! 😉
o.m.g. I am DYING over the Cutetitos! That is SO up my alley. I definitely have too many stuffed animals (like, an entire bookcase full of them. It’s a small bookcase, just one of those three-cubby situations you’d get at Target (like this: https://www.target.com/p/3-cube-organizer-shelf-11-room-essentials-153/-/A-50253252?preselect=16903173#lnk=sametab), but still. I want!!! Especially since they have the cutest names!! *heart-eyed emojis* I’m definitely dying to find out which one William gets!
Also, that tortilla blanket. o.m.g. x2. So perfect! Whenever I’m out and cold I complain about wanting to go home and burrito, so OBVIOUSLY a tortilla blanket is genius! Then you truly can be a burrito!
Aww fun! What is the story behind all yours? Are they from childhood to now?! Do any have special meaning? (all of them, duh) Does a special one get to come to bed? (I sleep with a stuffed otter)
I will let you know which one William gets!
HA! You need the burrito blanket, then! And guess what?! It’s a circular blanket – so it’s actually the same shape as a real tortilla!
Oh boy, let’s see if I can remember all of them, ha. I have a stuffed doll that I got on my second birthday – she’s probably the most special one, just by virtue of her age. She also gets to come on most trips with me, so she’s the most well-traveled 🙂 Then there’s a stuffed dog I got when I was…who knows how old. Probably like third or fourth grade? They’re the ones that are most likely to get promoted from the cubby to the bed. Then there’s a flamingo that I got in Vegas (at the Flamingo, naturally) a few years ago, a penguin my sister gave me, a penguin I bought myself, a niffler I got at Universal Studios this past February (from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them – he also gets promoted to the bed often because he has just the right amount of stuffing to be perfect for snuggling.) Then there are all the adopted ones: a minion, Appa from Avatar: The Last Airbender, another penguin (so many penguins. Ha)…I think that’s all of them? I swear I’m knocking on the door of 30, hahaha.
That is awesome you have some from so long ago!!!! We need to see some travel pics of your doll <3
When did you start to love penguins?!
And YES some have the perfect stuffing and shape for snuggling! My Stitch plush in college was like that!
I don’t really remember! Sometime after college, though. Which is too bad – had I been into penguins when I was younger, I’d probably have SO many more stuffed penguins now! You can never have too many!!!! 😛 Hahaha
That is kind of like how I became otter obsessed after college too. Don’t worry, I have faith that your collection will grow throughout life!!! <3
That blanket is so hilarious!
Right? Man, looking at it makes me hungry.
Me too
I definitely want to know which cuteito is in there! It sounds like an adorable gift 🙂
I will let you guys all know!
That tortilla blanket is really very realistic!
I read the title of this post right before I was doing some planning at work. Long story short, when we do in-person training events, we were thinking about dividing attendees into two teams and to add some friendly competition, making the teams two sides of a silly debate, like cake vs. pie. I also wrote down burritos vs. tacos after writing your post! (But obviously burritos. I hate when all the filling falls out of tacos!)
Isn’t it?!
Yes! That is a good one for the list. And that is another good reason to be on team burrito. Plus, tacos are like 2-3 bites. Come on.
