4 dumb things I thought as a kid
- That I needed to flex my toes every day so they wouldn’t “web” together (I thought this way before seeing item #4 on the list below)
- That colors had genders – red, pink, and purple were “girl colors,” and blue, green, and yellow were “boy colors”
- That I should give the outdoor cats warm water when they came in on winter days, to warm them up
- That the edge of the city I grew up in must be another state, because it looked so big (I thought this when we’d go by on the highway)
There are probably a zillion other things I could add to this list! I’ll write them down as they come to me.
4 horrible movies I love
- Armageddon
- Battleship
- The Day After Tomorrow
- Waterworld
We can’t seem to find any newer movies to watch lately, so we’re rewatching favorites.
4 favorite chores to do
- LAUNDRY!!!
- Cleaning windows
- Sweeping and Swiffer Bissell Steamboost Mopping
- Putting things away where they go
4 things I bought myself for my birthday
(edited to add, my birthday isΒ at the end of the month)
- Running shoes
- Running shorts
- New ROAD iD
- A swimsuit
Ha, I think I get myself shoes and shorts every year for my birthday! I wanted to get new sports bras, but they don’t make my favorite kind anymore, GASP!
The Day After Tomorrow is one of my favorite movies! I don’t know why, but I definitely enjoy it every time I watch. Mike makes fun of me for that one but I don’t care π
I love disaster movies, and that is one of the best ones!!! Get on board, Mike! LOL
UM, how did “The Room” not make your movies list? (Because it’s great, obviously.)
I never have used a steam mop. How does it work? Do you use it on hardwood floors?
Your childhood belief that cats need warm water in the winter is sweet. FWIW, sometimes I drink hot water in the winter to warm up…
Ahh, good point! I need to edit that part of the list!
The Swiffer Bissel is kind of like the regular Swiffer in that you have to buy their little single use pads (that come in a pack) for it, but this one, you add water to, plug in, and press a button for steam to come out while you’re “mopping.” I do use it on our hardwood floors! It works well.
See! So it makes sense! Ha!
Did I miss your birthday somehow??? Hope it was happy! Hugs!
No, you didn’t, it’s at the end of the month! I don’t usually mention it this much (or have it on social media). Sorry to make you think you missed it!
Laundry is my favorite chore to do, too! It just makes me ridiculously happy for some reason. (Maybe because I’m only doing laundry for myself? Ha!)
It’s just so nice to put something in dirty, have it come out clean, and put it right where it goes. Ahh.
Although, does your stuff all come out covered in cat hair? Sigh
I don’t think there are any chores I love, but I know for sure that I don’t love laundry. Ha. Or rather, I don’t love folding laundry after the fact. Doing laundry is fine. Dishes and cleaning the bathroom are two of the chores I dislike the least, though!
You need the laundry fairy to fold your clothes! Sometimes she visits our house to fold my husband’s when I need to use the dryer, lol
I like vacuuming now that I have a Dyson cordless stick vac (our house gift after we did the renovation) – not having to keep moving the cord out of the way, or finding another outlet when it doesn’t reach is life-changing, I tell you.
Also I love our steam mop. #cleanfloorweirdo
I have heard that about cordless! How long does it last, about 15-20 mins? (twss) And how long does it take to charge.
It’s so nice to have a clean floor, especially in the summer when I don’t wear socks as often!
I bought the V10, which was the newest one at the time, and they had significantly improved battery life to 1 hour. It also has a larger bin so you don’t have to empty it as much. I have animals so I empty it several times while I’m vacuuming, but seeing the amount of stuff it picks up is worth the effort. Not sure how long it takes to charge because I’ve never had it run out while I was vacuuming. I do vacuum on the lowest suction for most areas, which does prolong the battery life. I’ll switch it to high suction when something doesn’t want to be picked up and then switch it back to low suction.
This entire comment could be so misconstrued if someone were to read it as if narrating a dirty movie, LOL.
Oh wow! It lasts a really long time π π π Hee hee. Seriously though, that is impressive! I didn’t know they could last that long now. I will have to look in to that when this one goes kaput! (I had a Dyson, and paid a lot to have it fixed, then it crapped out, so I got a cheap $70 Shark which is working great).
Ha ha ha, it totally could be π
