Notes:
- We had AMAZING running temps Monday morning – high 40s and nice and cool. The slight breeze actually felt a bit nippy! I appreciated the cool morning, as I know we won’t have many more of them. I enjoyed my kitty check-in run, then went back to bed when I got home – I still had my headache from the weekend. Blah. It finally went away that night, thankfully!
- On Tuesday I was back out there, running to check in on the kitties, and adding a few more miles. The temps weren’t as nice, and the mosquitoes were out. Wah. I felt fine, but my body was telling me that it needed a break from four double digits runs in a row. Understood! Wednesday’s run was shorter.
- I was back at it (running to check in on the cats) Thursday and Saturday, and felt great! I really have to thank Athena and Midge – they gave me a purpose to get up early and run, and I ran 75.4 miles while visiting them since June 1!
- I had planned to run to their house one final time Sunday morning but Bobbi and her family got in early and didn’t need me to. I saw the text telling me that when I got up around 5:00 am to run, put my eye mask on, and slept until 8:00! I’d had 4:00 or 4:30 am wake-up calls for nine days in a row and appreciated the extra sleep!
I cannot get over how you ran to check on the cats each day – you are a running powerhouse!
Thanks! I can go pretty long if I run the right pace (and drink a lot of water)!
That sounds like fun that you got to get in a run to check on the cats, but I bet it was also really nice being able to go back to bed and sleep in Sunday morning 🙂
It was! I needed it! And I slept until 6:15 yesterday!!!
I am crazy jealous of the temperatures there! It has been pushing 100 degrees and very humid here. It’s going to be a long summer! It’s so hard to run outside when the weather is so gross.
Oh gah, that is too soon. It is going to be a long summer. I feel bad for you guys that have the humidity and high temps so dang early!
