Sunday | April 7, 2019: rest

Notes:

  • I really didn’t want to take Monday as my (first! <— wasn’t planning on two!) running rest day since we had a weekend of travel coming up, but with 25 mph winds with gusts in the 30s, I said eff it. I was so annoyed with my much less windy (and colder) run the day before! And I’d had a super pissy day at work, to boot. To the bike instead! I was actually happy I rode, since I hadn’t in so long!
  • I tried to cram running in before our trip to Kansas City. I should have done my speedwork at home, but didn’t feel like it. I am really wavering on doing that 5K Mother’s Day weekend. I don’t feel like I’ll be in shape to race. But I still have four weeks so I might as well keep training!
  • This is definitely a recurring topic, but teaching the Friday 5:00 am class really messes me up for the weekend. I don’t think I should do it before I travel anymore. I didn’t get enough sleep Thursday night (4.5 hours) then taught at 5:00 am then we flew to Kansas City. I was out of it and tired most of the weekend. UGH. (And we were up really early for a flight home today so I am STILL feeling out of it. Blah!)
