Gosh, some days it’s really takes A LOT of effort to not snap at people. And be polite. And smile.

It’s been a week. I’m so drained right now.

When is it ever appropriate to comment on what people are eating, other than to say, “that looks/smells good!”?

Today I was mixing sugar and peanut butter in to my oatmeal at my desk when someone walked by and said, yes, “that looks good.” Okay, cool. It is good.

Then that same person came back, sat next to me, to talk to someone else, and would NOT stop bringing up that I put peanut butter in my oatmeal.

“Kim put peanut butter in her oatmeal!”

“Kim must really like peanut butter!”

“I made some cookies yesterday that had too much peanut butter for me, but Kim would probably like them.”

They said this all to someone else, while sitting right next to me, while I was trying to work. Then, to me, “you must really like peanut butter.”

OH-EM-GEE. STAAAAAAAAAAHP. Just STOP TALKING TO ME. FOREVER, preferably. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

And yes, I like peanut butter! Their mind would be blown if they saw how much I had in my locker!

This was obviously all completely harmless, just annoying.
