• I finished Becoming! It was well-written and interesting. I loved reading Michelle Obama’s honest perspective on politics and living in the White House. <— that’s what I was there for – her story and a nosy inside view to her life. The “am I enough? yes I am!” message of the book didn’t do it for me (not bashing it, I just don’t need that message), but I can see that appealing to a lot of people!

  • Now I am reading Chrissie Wellington’s memoir, A Life Without Limits. It’s a let down after reading such a stellar memoir, but I think almost any one would be. It reads like a casual journal (to me), and there’s actually a bit of a disconnect (to me) with British vs American English. I didn’t think I was going to want to finish it, but I finally gained interest 100 pages in when she started talking about training for triathlons and racing them. I’m still finding the writing style (AND HER) a bit annoying though.
  • Our township’s plow hit our mailbox door Monday morning. They damaged parts of our mailbox last year too, but we happened to have a spare to use as a replacement. Now we don’t, and yeah, that door is not going to close. It’s unfortunate this happens. I can totally see it happening year after year though, because of the placement of it on the street!

  • They also later hit our recycling can, even though I put it out after it stopped snowing, and cleared the snow on the ground with the snow blower. Picking all that up was fun. Lesson learned – put the cans in the snow!!! Duh, Kim.

  • I got my missed shutdown paycheck already. I am grateful they got them to us so fast!
  • Someone hacked my Bath & Body Works account and used someone else’s credit card to order gift cards. B&BW caught it and stopped it, all three times. BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, WHY DID SOMEONE HAVE TO HACK MY ACCOUNT AT MY FAVORITE STORE, WHHHHHYYY?!?!
