On a day where everyone is talking about the weather, I will spare you that, and give you what you typically expect of me – cat stories!

Although, this is more a story about me.

Yesterday was Khali’s annual vet appointment (kind of funny that we’re more diligent about the cats’ annual checkups than our own…). She needed to get some shots and have her weight checked, since she was at the top of her “healthy weight range” last year.

The shots and checking her weight (she is down .7 pounds!) took less than five minutes. How long was I there though?

Ha, probably thirty minutes! We became so close with all the staff at our vet’s office last summer when we were there all the time to visit the kittens, so I was actually looking forward to this visit, as a chance to catch up with everyone! People kept coming in to the room to say hi and give me hugs. Aww.

Poor Khali though, she just sat there on the weight stand, waiting for me to stop talking, then we put her in her carrier, and talked some more, and she waited. Reminds me of when I was little, and my mom would run in to someone she knew and just talk and talk and talk. Only, I had planned to catch up with everyone, and was looking forward to it, I just had no way of telling Khali that (well, I told her, but I don’t think she understood). At least she got a wet food treat (from them!) out of it!

Sadly, I didn’t have my cat sweater ordered (I haven’t even started researching it). The vet technician even asked about it! I will have to get it made for my next appointment!

In other cat news, Rachel brought them a bunch of fun toys on Saturday. They loved them all, but especially this vibrating hex bugΒ (<— not an affiliate link) with a tail! It vibrates and scurries across the floor.

They loved it so much they’ve already lost it. Sigh. I ordered a few more. We’ll see how long those last!

Edited to add: I am an idiot and forgot I put this toy away. I just found it. Face palm.
