Highlight of the Week: Getting out for a run in the rain Sunday. It rained all weekend. Saturday was windier with more downpours, and Sunday was a bit lighter, for which I was grateful! I want to save the treadmill runs for icy/snowy days.

Notes:
- I was all pumped to start my week off with a run but I had a crappy pressure headache and did not run, wah.
- Another “I was pumped, wah wah,” story – it finally warmed up on Friday (in to the 30s!) and the sun was out, and I thought my run would be glorious but I felt out of it, like I was bonking the last two miles of a 5-miler. Ha. It happens.
- I actually rode my bike (because it was raining and super windy outside, ha)! My butt hurt (duh), but it felt good to ride again!
- On Saturday I went to one of those “ninja” gyms, like where you can try the American Ninja Warrior obstacles. More on that tomorrow!
- I don’t monitor my heart rate when I work out, but my watch records it, and I find the data useful to look at after I work out – my heart rate is usually up on runs that feel crappy for no reason. I don’t plan to start paying attention to it while I run, except to check in on it if I feel strangely crappy. I already know to slow down if I feel crappy when running (unless it’s speedwork).
- Monthly recap! In November I ran 92.3 miles (19 runs), cycled 0 miles, and swam 0 yards. I did 0 speed sessions and 0 hill sessions. LOTS OF ZEROES!!! My coldest run was 22°F and my warmest was 62°F. I taught 7 strength classes, 2 fitness boxing classes, and did 1 one-on-one sessions. Eek, another month of mostly running, and not that much variety in it! Oh well.
Birrrr!! It’s cold there.
It is, sigh. Kind of early for it!
