Gah, my brain is NOT processing how close Thanksgiving and Christmas are. Having so much going on with guests, travel, and work over the past month and a half have left my brain in September. But it’s not September. It’s November 19th. AND THERE IS SNOW ON THE GROUND.
Luckily, we are not hosting anything this year. So I don’t have to decorate the house.
And one of our Christmases in the middle of January, so I can slack there, with gifts. (The other one is on Christmas.)
Hell, I don’t even have to send holiday cards if I don’t want to.
I DON’T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING I DON’T WANT TO!!!
But I do want to do holiday-ish things. I’m not a grinch. I just keep forgetting it’s that time of year.
We went to a tree lighting (and meet Rudolph!) Saturday. I ordered some gifts. I sent our wishlist out. And I got our Christmas Day cat sitter booked. I’m getting there…
And I really do hope I get my sh*t together to do some sort of holiday card with the cats!
That ice cream behind you, Declan and Rudolf looks tasty!
It does! I think that is an ad for their Cold Stone Jelly Beans?! We should have tried some!
I keep forgetting that it’s not officially Christmastime yet! (Christmastime officially begins when the sun goes down on Thanksgiving, in my book.) It seems the whole city is already decorated for Christmas, which makes it hard to remember that we haven’t had Thanksgiving yet. It’s also making me antsy for it to actually be Christmastime!
Ha, so you have the opposite problem as me!!! Soon it will be Christmastime π I look forward to seeing the decorations in the city tomorrow!
