- My new car hails from Brooklyn and had some NYC parking/traffic love – a few dents on the doors and on the bumper. It also had a few slightly rusted metal pieces and needed a full detail, so right after I bought it, I took it in to the dealer for all of those things to be taken care of. I just got it back Tuesday (they had it for nine days!). They missed one rusted piece, so I’ll have to take it back, but it’s nice to have for a short while (including an upcoming road trip… although I would have been fine taking the loaner on that trip, ha)!
- I grabbed The Wedding by Nicholas Sparks from the library at the train station last week, but couldn’t get more than a few pages in, so I took it back. Ha. Now I’m reading A Wrinkle in Time, loaned to me by Bobbi. I never read this book growing up!
Photo taken before my walk to work in the rain yesterday soaked the back of this book through my backpack. Ugh, I felt like such an ass but Bobbi wasn’t upset at all.
- I actually like my official race photos from the Wisconsin Half Marathon! I doubt I’ll order any though – I’m on a bit of a spending freeze (minus a few magnets). Thankfully, the race shared a finish line photo of me on their Facebook page, and I have photos from Steven!
- Gotta nip this weight increase in the bud! I can do eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.
Do you not normally read Nicholas Sparks-type books, or was that one particularly bad? I’ve read a few of his books, they’re right up my alley.
Oh so no donuts this weekend? Got it. 😉 Do you want to lose a lot more, or just maintain your recent loss? Maintaining is SO hard. My weight has been stuck in the same 2 pound range for months (I guess that’s maintenance, ha!) but I just don’t feel like watching what I eat right now to lose any more.
I have read a few in the past and enjoyed! This one seems particularly cheesy. The way it was written annoyed me.
Did I mention I was not eating donuts? LOL. I just try not to eat A LOT of donuts. I need to lose more weight, then maintain. And maintaining IS hard! And it’s not even like I am restrictive! It’s just hard for me to eat the same way, forever, ha. That is great that are you maintaining without watching it like a hawk!!!
What app is that for tracking your weight? Or is this a Kim spreadsheet/infographic original?
Harrison didn’t read “A Wrinkle in Time” as a kid either. Did you/are you going to see the movie? I barely remember it, so maybe I should re-read it as an adult.
The loaner seems nice for a road trip, but I prefer the color of Kimbot#2. I’m kind of surprised it escaped NYC life with only some rust and dings!
It’s the Garmin Connect app! Although I also have a spreadsheet, and the scale I have has an app too. I use Garmin Connect the most though!
I think I would like to watch the movie, now that I am reading it! There are some very vivid scenes and I’d like to see how many of them made it to the movie, and how they were interpreted! Do you think you’ll watch it after reading it?
I like the gray over the silver too. Silver is not me. Ha. I was surprised she had so little, too! Although the person was a bit sloppy on the inside of the car (I’ve seen worse, for sure!).
Love the car also that is a super cute dress!
That is a great finish line pic. If you only have to have one at least its that one.
You can do it! Just keep up the good eating (so easy right:p) ! I’ve not been super strict (altho maybe I should be) and I’m dropping a bit of weight with this training, hoping to get back into my healthy weight range (around 3-4 pounds to go). I agree with you and Anne maintaining is the hardest.
Thank you and thank you!
Right? I was really glad they posted it on their page (and my friend tagged me in it so I’d see it!).
Thanks for the encouragement! I was more… hmm, snacky, the last two months, and I just gotta get back to eating when I am hungry not for boredom/anger/frustration (I am fine with it being for celebration!). Good for you for losing a bit and getting close to your range! Nice work!
I never read A Wrinkle in Time as a kid, either. I was a huge reader when I was a kid, so I’m not sure how I never read it – maybe because I was too busy trying to get through every single Dear America book I could get my hands on to be bothered with anything remotely close to fantasy, haha.
Oh! I don’t know that series, I will have to check it out (glancing briefly, it reminds me of American Girl, which I read). I LOVED fantasy as a kid, and still to this day, wish I could remember one of my favorite fantasy book’s titles. Do you think you would read this, now?
